LR is the error code for Locked Rotor. This could be an issue with the Motor Controller or Control Board. I have not seen Drive Motor cause this issue to date. If you want to investigate further I would suggest getting the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual.
Google this ""Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW""
This is a sticky for the FAV6800A/FAV9800A washer DIY support.Go to the 5th post down in the Sticky and you will find a link for the Service Manual.
If you want to go further in troubleshooting and possibly a DIY fix just open a new thread in that DIY forum with Model number and Serial number. That info is found tag behind the console right back side as you face the machine console.
just an FYI to anyone who might need to know. my neptune started kicking up an error of LR and stopping. i ended up sending an email to maytag and got a response back from one of their techs. the LR code means "Locked Rotor". when this happens the cause is one of two items. 1) the circuit board at the top of the unit has lost connection to the motor and its control board at the bottom (connector loose) or 2) the motor and or control board at the bottom have trashed and need to be replaced (P/N 12002039).
hope the info helps someone as i had a heck of a time finding it.
LR usually means that the the signal from the board is not getting to
the motor either because of a bad connection at either the motor or the
board or the motor itself is no good. Need to check the connections
sometime resistor are a bit under valued and can burn up.
Dont worry about your door lock.
remember Lr stands for locked rotor.?????
check the winding on your motor and never over look the pump.
Have a visual inside the pump for blockage
look for any shorts on your washing machine.
I was told they have a ten year warranty on the motor.
I always test all the conponents on a w/machine before I test it.
lookup this site to see if your maytag is still under warranty???? maytag.com
