Leave it alone for a few days to weeks to let it dry and dont try and turn it on untill your 100% sure that all the water is out of it and completely dry and you might have a chance of it still working

I take an old pair of hose (womens), buy some loose tobacco, cut the hose to about 1 foot, 30cm long making sure there are no holes in the toe or elsewhere, put a 1/4 cup or so of tobacco into the sock, tie a knot so the tobacco stays put. Then open the bonnet of the car, find the windshield wiper water tank, drop the end of the sock into the solution or plain water, make sure the upper end of the sock is securely fastened to something outside the tank so you won't loose the bag you created and you'll be amazed at how clean the windscreen will be next time you use the wipers after squirting the windshield as usual.
An alternative would be to boil the sock in water like tea, but don't drink it! after 10 minutes of boiling, let it cool, squeeze the bag so all the "tobacco tea" goes into the pot. When cooled, pour it into your windscreen water tank. As you wash your windscreen with the wipers going the squirted liquid will clean the glass and make rain water sheet off rather than leave droplets. You can actually drive the car safely because you can see as if no rain was falling.

If your wipers stop working all together and you can't see to drive, take a sock, as the one I described above, get it wet and wipe the windscreen with it. The rain will then sheet off the glass as if there was no rain at all. no drops can form. The tobacco breaks the surface tension. Want proof? Take a glass of water, fill it to the top just short of spilling over. You'll notice the water actually rises above the edge drop one grain of tobacco or black pepper and the glass will immediately spill the water out of the top of the glass. I keep such a bag in a plastic bag under my seat. You never know when you might need it. You can use it many times before needing change the tobacco.

If you just want some cheap glass cleaner, mix a 50% solution of white vinegar and pour it in your window wiper water tank. It will keep your windscreen nice and clean; also streak free.

I touch was washed - is there any hope for this Apple?

Also try putting the I touch in dry rice. a lot of the time with water damage the rice will absorb the moisture. It has worked for many people I know, so It might be worth a shot.

I washed my iPod Shuffle in my jeans pocket and have already tried turning it on and plugging it into the computer (with no luck). Is there any hope/What do I do now?

Yes. I believe there is still hope! Just wait until it is completely dry. You don't want to short circuit it by turning it on when it has water still in it, so wait for everything to dry before trying it again.

Well the screen can be fixed by sending it to apple or one of many other repair shops. The water is the hard part. Your best bet is to fill a zip lock bag with dry rice and put your ipod inside and leave it for a week and maybe the rice will pull the moisture out. Water is a killer but once it dries out, you might be lucky. In the end it may cost more to repair than its worth.

Ipod touch water damage

Your fu.k.d cause Apple won't replace units damaged by water.  Wipe as much of the water off as you can and don't use a blow dryer cause that will fry the circuits.  Go to the store and get you a bottle of alcohol.  No, I'm not talking about the 3 wise men.  Isopropyl 80 or 90% is what you require.  Fill up a container with the alcohol and throw the ipod in and let it soak for 5-10 minutes max.  Then take the thing out and dry off the thing and let it sit to air dry for about an hour or two.  Before you ask, "Man, what you been smokin?"  Note that alcohol rapidly dissipates and will remove the majority of water that is inside the ipod.  Then fill a zip lock bag full of white uncooked rice and I'm not talking Uncle Bens or Minute rice.  You gots ta use the real sh.t Asians are eating all the time.  Before you ask, "Man, what you been drinkin?  Note that restaurants put rice in their salt shakers to remove moisture.  Let the ipod sit in the zip lock bag for a week so the rice can do its thing.  Then take the ipod out and see if its alive.  If you still are unhappy with the results, then go on you tube and seek the advice of a shady hispanic guy who will show you how to beat the system and have Apple give you a brand spankin new ipod.

What can I do about my nano being washed in my washing machine?

Apple won't replace this thing under warranty if you water damaged it.  Best thing you can do is dry the thing off and put in in a zip lock bag filled with rice for a week.  The rice will **** the water out of this thing much like marriage sucks the life out of you.

I dropped my ipod touch in the sink and it now it doesn't work

to fix this, you're going to need your ipod, a plastic zip-lock bag, and uncooked rice. first, open the bag and fill it halfway with uncooked rice. then put your ipod in the middle of it all. then zip the bag and let it sit for about a day. the rice should have absorbed all the water by then. most of the times, this will work. but sometimes, the ipod is damaged beyond repair by the water. good luck
hope this helps ;-)

Went through the wash !

First of all, do not try to power it on, plug it in, or press any buttons. I would flip the hold swith on top so you see orange so none of that happens. You need to be sure that all of it is dry first. However, realize that something probably bumped it enough to turn it on in the wash too, which could have zapped it pretty well. I would let it sit to dry for at least a week. I know it sounds terrible, but you need to be absolutely sure that it is dry. One tiny drop can ruin a whole ipod, if it is not already broken. There should be edges that are barely noticeable, but if you can pry them open with something really thin, without warping the plastic, you could get it open to dry. Just be very careful not to touch anything inside, because oils on your skin can be just as harmful as water. Good luck, and let me know what happens.
