Question about Breville Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

My breville bar vista BES200 has stopped working. The water is not running through the filter hence, no coffee! This was preceded by lots of granules in the coffee. Where are we going wrong?

Why does my single cup coffee brewer make loud noises?

it like every thing it needs a bath have you cleaned where the coffee pack goes have you ran any vinegar through 4 or 5 brews try this and then run water through it 4-5 times and don't use tap water through it use filtered water like one of those Brita filtered water pitcher makes coffee taste better also. if you still have your manual
it will tell you how to keep it working great if not get model number off back or bottom and look it up on the web GOOGLE it!! enjoy !

Nespresso granulated coffee

Try running vinegar through instead of water. Then after you finish with vinegar, run clean water through, then try with coffee and see how it works.

Breville Die Cast 800ESXL Espresso Machine: Problem... Watery espresso. My machine worked great for a year, then all the sudden, the espresso is watery and the basket where the grinds are is full of water...

Hi,

Personnaly, when I use the big filter, the grinds are dry after the extraction, but for the small filter, it's all soggy. If you look at the documentation, ( http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/breville/breville_coffeemaker_product_list.html) they say wet coffee grind after extraction is normal.
But did you change the coffee brand ? Or the grinding level ? How do you grind your coffee ? I had big troubbles once with a commercial grinder at my grocery store, it's when I decided to buy my own Breville grinder.

Good luck,

JF

No water in brew head but leaking out of machine.

there is a hose/plastic pipe that goes from the reservoir to the cofee granules. it's mis-aligned or popped out of its spot. just put it back in place. its inside the reservoir you can reach it by hand.

We have a breville cappucino machine and where we put the coffee keeps clogging

my breville filter baskets only have one true hole in the center of each basket. there are stampings in the metal so it looks like there's more, but the others aren't really holes b/c they were never drilled out. maybe breville subcontracted the manufacture of the filter baskets out and then didn't qc them; either way, one hole means keeping it clear is much more important. i plan to drill mine out (if i can find a small enough drill bit!) otherwise, after brewing a shot run only water thru the basket each time, or clear the hole out with a pen or needle. good luck!

Breville ESP8XL Espresso Machine Cafe Roma leaking.. help please..

We had that happen and it was a crack in the black ring that holds the filter. Breville could not supply us with one but we found an OEM part in aluminum from http://www.vancouverwireedm.com/caferomadiyt.htm. We received it 1 week after ordering. It was pretty easy to replace. Our machine works fine now.

Breville expresso filter

The same thing happens to mine when I grind the coffee too fine. Try grinding a bit coarser, and pack extra grounds in. Amazing coffee when you get it right, and the grounds aren't runny with the coarser grind.
Hope this helps.

After using coffee that was too small, I can't make coffee with one of the filters

I'm not sure you can. I did exactly the same thing, the very first time I used it -- I phoned Breville support and they told me to try soaking the filter in 2 tsp of baking soda dissolved in a cup of warm water. Which kinda seemed to work, although it was bit occasionally reluctant to give me my damned coffee.

I struggled on with it for maybe a year, but then the rubber seal around the bit the filter connects to blew out (with rather dramatic results). I think the extra pressure of the blocked filter did more damage that I suspected.

I got it serviced and they replaced both the seal and the filter. Worked great after that...

...until last week, when water started pouring out where no water should pour. Turns out that the black lock block that the filter holder goes into has developed a crack.

Looks like another trip to the service agent for me.

In short, you could try cleaning the 1-cup filter, but I would reccommend giving it up as a bad job and just buying another.

Before It Is Too Late.
