the power supply board needs to be replaced. common problem.

most likely the power supply board has failed, but it could be the main board as well. call 1-800-samsung for nearest service center.

Testimonial: "I open the TV (Samsung 52" lcd full HD) up. I noticed 2 1000uf 10v caps has expanded at the top. I replaced the 2 caps (77pence each). TV now work."
Take the back off and look at the power supply. Top right on the board, see if a capacitor has gone bad. I've seen up to 4 caps go bad in the little area. replace with a higher voltage and you'll be good to go.

I would check the power supply for bad caps they will have a swollen top replace those and that should fix your problem
