You should first try a hard reset.

To do a hard reset simply unplug the tv for 4-8 hours and it should totally reset itself, if for some reason that doesn't work, please let me know and I will give you further options that should work.

Thank you for using Fixya and Good Luck.

Try to unplug everything and plug it back in at the correct order(without power). Then plug the power and into the items in the correct order and let them power on for about 5 minutes. With the blue screen that may take about 15-20 minutes.

HI,

Try doing a hard reset by unpluging all the cords for 4 hours and then plug it back. This will restore the factory default settings.

Goodluck..

Look at the power supply to see if anyhting burnt, fuse, bad capacitors. I doubt that the power cord is bad, the same size fuse should be used as the original one.

Goodmans model gtvl32w26hdf. Switched itself off. have changed fuse, with not difference. blue standby light comes on, using remote press standby blue light goes off, screen remains black.

Good Day SIr, sound to me like your switching power supply is not working properly, there is an IC that controls the switching action of your power supply, this MAY be the reason why it stays off. locate the IC at the power supply section, replace it then test. There is also a possibility of open low value resistors near the switching transistor (very hard to locate). hope this helps.

Unfortunately I have several and it's just a case of trial and error. 002 // 004 // 009 // 027 // 028 // 051 // 068 // 093 // 111 // 115 // 127 // 153 // 169 // 171.

Hopefully one of those should work. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

DVD recording.

Sounds like the DVDR is recording from the digi-box through the TV, so when the TV is switched of or into standby the signal is lost, causing the recorder to pause.

Assuming the digi-box has two scart sockets, connect as follows:

  • Scart 1 or TV scart of the digi-box to the TV.
  • Scart 2 or VCR/DVD scart of the digi-box to scart 1 of the DVDR3380.
The TV aerial should already be connected through the digi-box and DVDR3380 to the TV

To record from the digi-box, select AV1 / E1 / EXT1 on the DVDR3380
