Hello, Welcome to Fixya. Based on what you've described I don't think anything is wrong with your Bosch dryer ( provided the model number is correct ). If the dryer has an l.e.d. Indicator labelled "check lint" this is simply a reminder to check it before proceeding. Believe it or not I have clients who have used their dryer for years and never noticed this indicator or "reminder" ever I get it ;o) So If the unit starts and isn't displaying any error codes and otherwise working, the dryer is functioning properly, i.e. heating, not running too long, not tripping hi-limit safety etc. Let me know if this is indeed the case...that the dryer is working fine otherwise, or if you are referring to another model number. Thanks for choosing "fixya". Please take a moment and rate the answer provided here today accordingly. macmarkus :)

On the "WTL" (condensation electric dryer) models it can be related to the heat exchange needing cleaning as well.

As I mentioned previously, if this is the correct model number let me know. I can send you instructions and trouble shooting tips via "pdf" that would require you to post an email address.

My dryer keeps getting lent bevingld the drum & catching on firem i changed the element & cleaned out all the lent & a week later it caught on fire again. Any ideas?

what's the brand name and model number?on some electric dryers like ge or frigidaire that have the heater element on the back wall of dryer the drum has a metal ring around the back of it and the lint builds up in it,you have to remove the drum and clean the lint out,if you open the door and look through the holes in the back wall of drum you sometimes can see it and it gets thick, you can try to vac it out through the holes,if you have a stinger vac or shop vac set it to blow and blow through the holes and vac it some more but the best way is to remove the drum and clean should do this at least once a year, clean out the inside of dryer, the duct where the lint filter slides down into and the vent line,if you do this your clothes will dry on time, the parts will last longer like the motor, usually is covered in lint and you won't have a dryer fire.

Always air filter clean

If the light comes on after it\'s started its cycle, that sounds like your dryer actually has a sensor in it (my dryer just has a fake light to remind you to clean the filter, but there\'s no sensor).

Either there\'s debris accumulated inside that\'s blocked the sensor (it\'s working correctly), or the sensor itself has failed (part repair).

It\'s possible your filter itself isn\'t letting enough air pass through any more. Do a quick test: run the dryer with the filter out and see if the light still comes on.

If the light still comes on, see if you can remove some lint from the dryer. Remove the filter and get a vacuum nozzle in as far as you can to try to suck out any lint that got past the filter.

Also check the exhaust. How recently was your dryer duct cleaned? Could it be clogged? Disconnect the exhaust from the wall and inspect the pipe. If you see a *lot* of lint and dust it should probably be cleaned. It\'s not expensive - call a duct cleaning company and ask them to clean your dryer duct and nothing else. No addons, no extended service plan, nothing - just clean the duct.

By now you\'ve checked the air going in and the air going out. If it still continues this behaviour I would look at the sensor itself. It\'s almost certainly cheaper in the long run to call in a repair person for that.

My maytag dryer takes almost 2 hours to dry 1 load of laundry

I would try cleaning out the dryer lent from the exhaust duct from the dryer and also the duct to the outside of the house. Lint also collects inside the dryer. It may worth cleaning out behind the lint filer through to the exhaust duct.

My dryer is working, but it's not heating

pull the vent line off the back of dryer and see if it helps, also the duct that the lint filter slides into could be loaded with lint, when was the last time you cleaned out the dryer?sounds like from what you said when you had the top off it worked better because you had better air movement with the top off.go out side and check the vent,if it's a long run from the back of the dryer to the outside vent i use a leaf blower to blow out the vent line, you also need to vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,if you have a shop vac blow off the motor and blow through the inside vent to clean out the heating duct and vac out the back of the drum, you should take it apart and clean it out once a year so the dryer will run correctly

Lent seems to be going all over the house. The lent is very fine almost like dust. The discharge vent pipe is not leaking.

when was the last time you cleaned out the dryer?you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, remove the vent line from the back,if it's a long run blow it out with a leaf blower to clean it out, before you blow it go outside and make sure the duct where the flapper is isn't blocked with anything, and then vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,you should do this once a year so the dryer works properly and your clothes will dry on time

Dryer won't start and the check lint screen light keeps flashing. Cleaned screen and still won't start

It may not be your lint filter but instead be a clogged duct. I would suggest removing the duct and check for clogs or a kink in the duct itself. Then check the interior and exterior vent and remove any visible lint. If you exterior vent is a louvered type, check to see that its opening properly.

I have a kenmore gas dryer 110.74832400 doesnt heat

You stated you checked all lints roblems. Just to make sure. Did you remove the lint catcher completely on the inside? If not take that off and clead the lint out of the inside of the duct. Also lint can build up inside the lint duct on the rear of the drier and in the duct going outside of your home.

is the clothes coming out of the washer with lint on them or after they come out of the dryer ,,,, the washer doesn't take all the lent off ... the dryer does so i would make sure the vent duct is open all the way out of your house and the dryer filter is clean.

Front loading dryer

The check filter light is just a reminder light and cannot be reset.  Nothing to worry about.  Just keep the filter clean before each use.
