Question about Lexmark P4350 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I just bought a new Gateway NV53 laptop but my P4350 Lexmark all in one printer does not recognize any of the USB ports.

Did you check whether the USB ports are recognizing other USB devices such as Microvault or Flash Drive? If all other USB devices are recognized except the Printer, then reinstall the USB Drivers. You can uninstall the USB drivers from the Device Manager and restart the Computer. The USB Devices are listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers in the Device Manager.

I asume the printer is connected wth an USB cable. If you disconnect a USB cable and plug it in, in a different USB port, it will tell you new hardware found. The best way is, reinstall the printer software or let the computer find the new hardeware (Printer)

Trying to add a lexmark p4350 to a laptop e.system windows vista


Hi,

You can first download a new driver from the link posted at the very bottom. If that still does not work please follow the instructions as shown below here.

This behavior can be caused by your security programs. It may blocked some components when you install the driver, or it may blocked the communication between the system and the printer driver.

I suggest that you remove the printer again, temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall and reinstall the driver.

The following steps can be referred when you remove the printer.

Remove printer

1. Click the "Start" button, type PRINTER in the search box and press Enter.
2. Find the icons which are related to Lexmark P4350, and delete them.
3. Right-click on the blank part of the window, and choose "Run as administrator"->"Server Properties".
4. On the Drivers tab, select the listed printer and click the Remove button. Please then select Remove driver and driver package.
5. Open Start menu, input APPWIZ.CPL in the Search box and press ENTER to launch "Programs and Features".
6. Try to remove all related printer software.

Before reinstalling the driver, I suggest that you temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall. After reinstalling, check if the issue is resolved.

If the issue persists, I suggest that you change the USB port. If the printer is connected via a USB hub, please bypass the hub and directly connect the printer to the USB port on the motherboard.

Just got new computer with VIsta


first run the cd which came along with the printer then restart the system connecting the printer if still you face problem then please check if your system's usb port is working fine or no. if your usb port is working fine then i suggest call the person from whom you bought this printer

Computer won't communicate with printer


Make sure that the printer driver you are using is compatible with your version of windows. If so, open all printers in "control panel" and make sure that this printer is the preferred printer and not an old one you might still have installed.

Lexmark x5340 printer "can't communicate with computer." All hardware okay. Just bought new USB cord since printers don't come with them anymore. Have older computer 2001 Gateway, however was wondering if...


I had a brand new usb cord that didn't work but cost a lot of money. I went to wal-mart and bought a usb cord for like $6 that had a printer icon on the package and hooked that up and the message disappeared. I don't know if that helps but hope it does.

check it on device manager whether the printer is detecting or not, or put usb cable on some different port then check, also uninstall the drivers, then install it again
