Question about Nintendo 64 Console

1 Answer

My 64 is turning on and seems to be working but it won't show up on the t.v. I'm pretty sure I have all the plugs in the correct spots but I don't know why it doesn't show up.

The AV cords (Yellow, White, Red plugs) for the 64 were built in a very annoying way. When you plug them in, nothing happens. To fix this, be sure to screw the AV cords in further into the hole until it won't go further. Make sure your screwing it in, and not out. make sure your TV is set to the channel of the AV cords, and turn it on. It should work, but if not, the cartridge is dusty and all you gotta do is blow on it. Do that, and make sure to push it in hard. Doesn't usually work the first time, but keep doing it over and over till it does work. Blowing is the only way to get it off. I've never tried compressed air and don't know the results. Could be dangerous. Blowing causes moisture damage to your game however the damage caused amounts to about 0.000000000000000000000000000000001. Yeah. It really wont hurt it. Either that, or don't play. That's what i tell my friends who warn me not to blow. Also, are you playing games who REQUIRE an expansion pak, for example, donkey kong 64 and majoras mask? Also, water will kill your cartridge. The inner tech of the cartridge is metal. Metal rusts. Rust damages. Water causes rust. Hope this helps.

You screwed it up by plugging it into the 64. It is too old to handle that kind of stuff. I reccomend going and getting youself a Xbox 360 slim. They are much more efficient.

Interior light not turning on. Temperature not showing up either. Brand new out of the box. Plugged in and it lit up, then turned off. Now won't turn on (light won't turn on) Unit turns on and

Sounds like a poor connection in the control or a faulty control module, I would return it as faulty for a new one. They seal those units up pretty good so we can't fiddle with them. Everyone gets a lemon sometimes.

When I start up the Acer Aspire M3710 Desktop it won't do anything but run the processor, it won't give any results of the POST and it also refuses to show anything on my screen (no Signal)....

1. Check the video cable (the one going from the monitor to the video card) 2. Check if the video card is properly connected to the motherboard (must be tightly plugged into the port)3.This could also mean that the drivers for the video card are not correctly installed

I am trying to hook up my ps3 but it says change resolution source

make sure everything is plugged in correctly. also make sure that the input/source of your tv is correct. If all these don't work, then: 1. unplug both the tv and the ps3 2. plug them both back in 3. turn the tv on first make sure it is on the right hdmi source. 4. turn the ps3 on by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds until it beeps.

the ps3 start screen should show up now.

My yamaha raptor has power, spark, fuel and will turn over, but won't start.

Check the compression, pull the spark plugs one at a time if more then one. If you don't have a compression gauge, you can put your figure over the spark plug hole, be mindful that before it blows it's going to **** so make sure that you don't hurt yourself leave a little gap so your figure doesn't suction down to tight. If your getting compression it should **** and blow pretty hard. If it seems to have good pressure and suction. You might need to check your timing, also make sure that you can feel air moving out the exhaust, might not be able to with the pipes on it but if it won't start and your getting everything else it needs to run gas, spark, etc. It has to almost be timing or compression.

My Nintendo 64 isn't turning on. Its pretty old but it seemed to work a couple of months ago. i've tried cleaning the dust on the outside and blowing on the plug-ins. What else can i do? I really miss...

Well try a new expansion pack to see if it works again then. I had a similar problem like this with my 14 yearold N64 console so I tried a new expansion pack in it and it worked again.

2002 Buick LeSabre shows 3 trouble codes: p0404, p0410, AND P0300 .. Car lacks power... will operate pretty well between 1800 and 2400 RPM. Beyond 2400 RPM there is nothing, no response when accelerator...

P0300 is random engine misfiring. Could be several problems. My car had this and I replaced the plugs and plug wires. No change. Checked the three coil units. They seemed ok. I used a new on in each spot and nothing changed. Ended up being the ignition control module that sits under the coils. Relatively easy to change. Costs around $150 at the parts store. This may correct the other codes.

Make sure your cables are plugged in well. You might need a new set of connector cables, and you could probably get some of these on ebay pretty cheap. If that dosent solve it(which it should) your n64 might be kicking the bucket.
