Check if you have an IP address for the computer Check if you can ping any website using Command prompt If it pings with command prompt, then try with a different browser If it not getting IP or not pinging the website then it is an issue with the network settings

Try this first:
In Internet Explorer
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings.
You most likely are not using a proxy server. Ensure your settings mirror the above, especially the "Use a proxy server..." setting.
