Question about Belkin Home Office 350VA (f6h350-usb-dl) UPS System

1 Answer

Not working I have two of these. One for the TV/DVD/Satelite box etc and one for the computer. They both worked very well at first. We get a lot of power cuts lasting seconds in our area, so they were of great help. The computer one stopped working.................ie the computer went off with the electric instead of the battery taking over. We took it back to the shop and after a lot of persuassion by us they gave us a new one ( it was only about 4 months old). Now the same is happening with both. The battery doesn't kick in when the electric goes off. Any ideas????

    Forgot to say re the above, the power management shows full battery charge and the UPS load is only 55%.

Some UPS have "Battery backup" and "Surge only" outlets. I don't know if it is the case for your model. The "Surge only" outlets are not connected to the battery and will go off during a power outage. Make sure that the equipement that need to keep running during the outage are connected to the "Battery backup".

Important: Never connect a laser printer to the "Battery backup" outlets because to power draw is just too high.

Have you made sure that the battery is connected inside the UPS? (If the battery is user-replacable)

You may do a simple experiment. Connect you UPS you a wall outlet and plug a conventionnal lamp to a battery backup outlet. Then, unplug the UPS from the wall. If the light goes off, then you may have a problem with your UPS.

It should be set to where you have the input(ie...cable box, satelite, DVD etc) connected on the back or side of the TV

I have did the auto scan and the tv screen is still blank. i need some answers asap please!!!!!!!!!!

does a DVD player work on the unit?
if so, be sure you have good connections of your input cables (and you know these connector cables to be good), then see if you can manually program channel 3, or any other channels programmed manually. I suggest channel 3 in case you are using satelite or cable box. Then turn the cable or satelite box & see if you get reception on channel 3.

unplug your sat box for 1 minutes and plug it back in. its a problem with your satelite company or the wiring connecting the box and the tv. tv is fine.

Recently plugged a CamCorder into the side panel to show home video. Subsequently, the TV is now dark with "No Video Signal" when either Satelite or DVD is the source.

I would say make sure the TV is on the correct channel, or input selection for whatever corresponding input source. Be it cable, video 1, video 2, dvd 1, etc. If TV worked before and with your camcorder, then it has to work with other sources after removing the camcorder. Hope this is somewhat helpful.

Can i hook up to my satelite dish direct or do i have to go thru my receiver first. Thanks; Delmar currah@mts.net

The satelite dish will not pass-through the video/audio from your DVD player. You will need to find an open area (preferably DVD selector) on your receiver to input the DVD video/audio. Most satelite boxes are one way devices.

Satelite box --> Receiver (satelite input)--> TV
DVD Player --> Receiver (DVD Player input) --> TV

or

Satelite box --> TV
DVD Player --> TV
