Disconnect the power cord and pull out the battery. Then press down the power button for a least thrity seconds. After you do that, reinsert the battery and reconnect the power cord and start your notebook computer. This "hard reset" should fix your freeze problem

My dell says hybernating while on and hang

Hybernation is a power saving feature in microsoft windows. Often times this will cause the computer to freeze.

One solution is to disable hybernation in the power settings located inside the control panel.

On windows vista / 7 you can do this by clicking on the start button (lower left hand corner of the screen)
Then going to "Control Panel"
At the top right of the screen should be a search box, simply type "Power" Into this box and options to edit / change the power plan should appear. Choose edit power plan,
Make sure any options pertaining to hybernation are disabled, You can also adjust when the screen and hard drive shut off during inactivity. For desktops it is recommended to set all options to "Never"

Once finished click the "Save Settings" Button. and you are all set.
You can adjust these settings as much as needed, they can always be undone.

On windows 8 you can access the control panel by moving the mouse to the upper right hand corner of the screen and choosing "Settings" or "Computer Settings" the same procedures apply after this step.

Im using acer 4736z notebook win7.the problem is when ever i keep my laptop on hybernate mode and try to start the laptop it always ask me start in normal mode and doesnot start from where i had left

I would disable the hybernate mode, it takes a lot of hard disc space and is unstable. In rare cases it will corrupt windows forcing a fresh install.

What would cause your power button light on the monitor keep blinking and the screen is black and you have trouble getting the light to stay on and get the picture back on. what is the problem. thanks,...

If the button on monitor is blinking, it means your computer is either turned off or in standby mode (or in hybernation).
You should push the power button on your computer to restore it from standby (or hybernation).

Computer goes into Hybernate Mode after each print Job.

Try plugging the printer power cable into a different power outlet, preferably an outlet that is not shared. I had a similar problem but in my case, the computer would crash. For some reason, the HL-5250DN demands so much electricity on starting a job that it doesn't play nice with the other equipment.

Toshiba Satellite A55-S306 doesn't come out of hybernation

Turn the PC on, when it is booting up, keep hitting "F8" until windows boot options come up, choose "Safe Mode" and then once it boots into safe mode fully, go to the start menu and choose shut down. After it shuts down, turn it back on and it should go back into normal mode. From now on, don't use Hibernate, its buggy and has been since XP.

Monitor in power saver mode

try to restart your computer in safe mode and see if that affect the monitor, also you may have the setting to go into hybernation quicker, to save the most energy, check those settings

Random Hibernation

this sounds like power settings options.

what i can suggest now is that......................

go to the Power Options in the Control Panel and do the following.

  • first uncheck the hibernate option on the hibernate tab
  • use your computer and see if the problem re-appears, go to the control panel and on the power option, select Never to all options when using battery or ac power.
cheers...............
