Question about Hayward 1.5 Hp Northstar High Performance Pump

1 Answer

No problems. Its a new installation and I would like to run the pump on a duty cycle to conserve energy. Can I go 1 hour on, 1 hour off with this motor without decreasing its life . Can you suggest a duty cycle ??

This is a watercooled Pump. It is designed to run 24/7 without overheating. it is cheaper to run any pump for more lenghty periods than to cut it off and on every hour. the reason is the initial surge cost more than a constant running speed.

Why does the scanner keep turning off after 30 minutes with a red light? We have to keep manually turning it off and on.

Some kodak of the i2000 series abide by different energy conservation standards. You can increase both power off \ sleep settings to 240 (4 hours), maximum. Unfortunately when the newer energy conserv's go have to be power cycled to resurrect. I have a tiny text script I can send that will make the 2400 never turn off I'm just not around my PC right now. Stay tuned!

How do I fix code P1237 on ford taurus sel

P1237 - Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Malfunction

Electronic Returnless Fuel Systems (ERFS) utilize a Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) to control fuel pressure. The PCM uses a Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (FRP) for feedback. The PCM outputs a duty cycle to the FPDM to maintain the desired fuel rail pressure. During normal operation, the PCM will output a FP duty cycle from 5% to 51%. The FPDM will run the fuel pump at twice this duty cycle, e.g. if the PCM outputs a 42% duty cycle, the FPDM will run the fuel pump at 84%. If the PCM outputs a 75% duty cycle, the FPDM will turn off the fuel pump.

If the FPDM does not out any diagnostic signal, (0 or 100% duty cycle), the PCM sets a P1233 DTC. This DTC is set if the FPDM loses power. This can also occur if the Inertia Fuel Switch is tripped.

If the FPDM outputs a 25% duty cycle, it means that the fuel pump control duty cycle is out of range. This may occurs if the FPDM does not receive a valid control duty cycle signal from the PCM. The FPDM will default to 100% duty cycle on the fuel pump control output. The PCM sets a P1235 DTC.

If the FPDM outputs a 75% duty cycle, it means that the FPDM has detected an open or short on the fuel pump control circuit. The PCM sets a P1237 DTC.

After how many hours should the oil be changed on a new yamaha 230ttr bike?

The first oil change is recommended at 20 hours. Be sure to use a JASO MA certified motor oil. Do not use any oil that is Energy Conserving it will shorten the wet clutch and transmission gear life.

The dishwasher runs for 1 1/2 hours on the wash cycle.

Hi,

This may sound strange but that is a normal cycle time for today's dishwashers. They use much less water and the water is 'recycled' within the filtration system in the pump.

By reusing and filtering this water they save on heating energy and water consumption. The motors are not as powerful so they use less power even when running longer. Many machines will alternate the wash between the upper and lower arms, this type uses much less water and energy but again the trade off is long cycle times.

If you were to select a heavy or pots and pan cycle with hi temperature wash and a sani rinse your times can be up to 4 hours in some machines today.

The reason behind these savings are mostly due to the energy standards that the appliance manufactures have to abide by today.

I know this may not have been what you wanted to hear but it is how they work today.

What is the difference of conservation of mass and energy

Hi,
The law of conservation of mass and energy states that mass and energy can neighther be created nor destroyed however it can be changed into one form to another.

What is conservation of mass and energy and give example

In fact there are 2 different conservation laws: conservation of mass and conservation of energy. Of course in a chemical or any other physical process these 2 laws will hold!
Conservation of mass: the mass of a closed (isolated system) system will remain constant over time.
Conservation of energy: total amount of energy in an closed system remains constant over time
Furthermore if we look into the relativity theory, it states that in fact mass and energy are two names for the same thing (the equivalence principle of mass and energy), neither one "appears" without the other.
Example: an iron nail left in a cup of water until it turns entirely to rust. A precise scale will register a change in mass. The energy will appear as heat, which will be lost to the environment so because of the conservation law you will see a loss in the mass of the system.

Cycle keeps running over 2 hours

you could try running your hot water at the sink before running as dishwashers spend most of their time in their cycles heating up the water before resuming cycles, this will reduce the time it spends heating up the water, but long cycles are somewhat common these days because of new regulations on energy use, ive seen some new models taking 3 to 3 1/2 hours make sure settings are correct like heat dry or whut not, hope this helps if not u could have a temp problem at water heater but this osunds like a older unit so u probably wouldve nticed that well before this. hope this helps let me know

Water doesn't fill after 50-60 secs of valve

Float valve is not used in normal cycle, it is a failsafe method. Energy conservation issues dictated less water during washing.

What does the 2H mean? It seems to be the "standard" but the manual has no definition.

Great question!
2H means 2 hours -- 120 minutes ... the display only has 2 digits so it can not display 120 minutes. When the timer gets done near an hour an one half, it will start to display a countdown somewhere near 90 (minutes)
Yes, the cycles are long on the LG LDFxxxx dishwashers, just like all water and energy conserving dishwashers.
This really is a good dishwasher, recommend you keep the rinse aid dispenser filled up and ALWAYS use a brand name powder (like Electrosol or Cascade.) Also make sure when it was installed, it was properly leveled.
Hope this helps!
