U can turn on or turn off the touchpad functionality of ur notebook..what must have happened is u would have turned off the touchpad of ur notebook by mistake & now u dont know how to turn it on....The key to turn on the touchpad can be different on different it would have been easier for me to provide u a resolution if u would have also mentioned the model of ur notebook... Generally there is a small button just beside the touchpad which is used to turn or off the tochpad, if the small button is amber in color then the touchpad is turned off & if its blue in color then touchpad is on...otherwise sometimes there is no button beside the touchpad & then there is a key combination to turn on or off the touchpad & it is Fn+F7....
try this out, it might work for u, if it works then let me know by rating this solution...

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

My mouse has stoped workin i just turned the lap top of and turned it back on again and it wansnt working the click button does'nt work either.

If you are referring to an actual "regular" mouse, unplug it from the USB and try plugging back in again.

If you are referring to the "TouchPad" type on a laptop, usually there is a tiny button near the touchpad that you may have inadvertently shut off by hitting it. Mine is right at the top part toward the screen, but still part of the touchpad. If you can't find the little button then refer to your manual if you got one to find out where the off button is for your touchpad and turn it back on.

hope this helps, if not I will check further to see what to do!

My toshiba touchpad is not working

1. Go to the "Control Panel" and double click on the "Mouse" item.
2. Go through the tabs in the "Mouse Properties" window & find the tab where you can set up your touchpad. This differs from laptop to another since it is based on the touchpad's drivers.
3. On that tab, check & make sure that your touchpad is enabled. If it is not, then change the setting to enabled.
4. Click "Apply" to apply the changes, then close the "Mouse Properties" window.

If you cannot find a tab to set up your touchpad, then your touchpad drivers might not be installed. In this case, you will need to install them first.
