Check you heating element for blisters or cracks the elements are usually the first to go, if not a wire may have burnt off the backas far as a fuse not knowing model no. i would say there is none unless it is digitally controlled

How to use the after filters for the electrolux canister vacuum

At the back of the vac on top you will have a removable grille. Release the thumb tab to lift the grill.Older models had this tab at the back of the grille. The filters will sit underneath. They should clip into the round exhaust opening. Then replace the grille. Change filters every 6 bags. More often if you have pets or allergies.

Motor for Eureka upright model 2315, new in 1977

If the motor is obsolete which it appears to be, have you considered repair?

Write my shop at service@emrrepair.com, with enough information on the failure mode we can get you a close estimate, some of these older vacuums just cannot be beat, for performance, power, etc, We traditionally do not do retail work, but with the current conditions, and woodburning stove blowers rendering perfectly good stoves into land fills, and replacement costs of over $3000,. we have repaired many blowers and fire eyes from $50.00 to $159.00, it all depends on the degree of damage, but we are trying our hardest to salvage some very nice older equipment, let us know, references or see me at allexperts.com. The dial regulating suction does not seam to work the vacuum works constantly on the full power and the light indicating overheating stays on.

The dial regulating suction does not seam to work the vacuum works constantly on the full power and the light indicating overheating stays on.
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
This would depend on the brand and model number you have – without knowing the model or brand of vacuum you have it would be hard to give an accurate answer – the over heating light could indicate some type of clog or blockage and may have nothing to do with the dial to regulate the suction – that merely is a height adjustment …. As this does happen to most vacuums that the overheating light comes on – if there is no problem have it looked at from your local vacuum dealer or repair shop would be the best advice that I could give you.
