My phone is on and works fine, all except the screen is black and I can't see anything. This is no water damage

Hi, it's not a water problem, but a flex problem.is because there is a flex inside that connected to the screen of the phone that makes the phone display is faulty and it needs to be replaced so that the screen can display.

When you replace the flex, problem solved.

Take care.

Motorola has a freakin black screen!!!!

It's to do with the battery connection... clean the metal contact with something dry, like a cotton bud..then put the battery back in firmly, and make sure the cover is clicked back correctly...

Black screen problem, motorola rival

I am having the same problem with my motorola rival. From what I hear, it's an internal issue and the whole phone is going to have to be replaced.

I have the motorola rival and just yesterday after doing nothing to damage it i pulled it out of my pocket and the screen didnt turn on but everything on the phone works except for the screen i can call...

mine did the same thing. take it to the store where you got it and they will give you a new one. apparently its happened before with the motorola rivals, something comes loose inside the phone. when you bring it to the store they should give you a new phone for free. but im pretty pissed off, because when i got my new one they transfer only the contacts. im pretty mad that all my pictures, videos, and ring tones/sounds are gone just because of motorola making me a crappy phone
