I think, the problem is not in your software, in my opinion, your camera needs to be repaired. This is not the first time I heard about such a problem with laptop, and as I know, it is beter to address a professional.

Hey my webcam is not working. MY model is an MSI FX 600. For some reason, the webcam is no longer detected by Windows 7. I use the FN+F6 button to enable/disable the camera, and the picture on the bottom...

It sounds as if the drivers were uninstalled or became corrupted in some way.
The problem is that the drivers for this webcam are not downloaded separately but are native to Windows 7.

Try this solution and post back if it worked or not. If it doesn't work, I will attempt to help you further.

1. Turn on the webcam via the FN+F6 keys.

2. Press Win+R to open the Run command.

3. Type "devmgmt.msc into the dialog box and press enter to open Device Manager.

4. Find the extra "USB Composite Device" and right click on it.

5. Select "Update Driver" and click "Search automatically for updated driver software".

Windows should find the appropriate driver and install it. If it doesn't, then post back here and I will help you further.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa.

How does the msi u123 webcam work? i've tried the Fn button to start up the webcam but nothing happens.

Hello friend,
First you should press "Fn+F6" to turn on the camera, and then use the MSI software "Easy Face Manager" to display the camera locally or you can use one of the IM software like msn, skype ... to share camera with your friends.
Best Regards,
