Question about Maytag Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer
I have a Maytag Neptune washing machine. About 5 years old. At the end of the was cycle it shuts off but water continues pooring into the well. The washer overflowed...over the top of the well, down the inside, and out from underneath. I can run a light to medium size load but have to use the water shut-off valve the minute the load cycle is done. Any ideas?
The Inlet Water Solenoid valve may be stuck open not seating properly.
The Pressure Switch may not be signaling the Control Board to close the water valve on proper fill level.
But let’s start off with the easy test first. If you pull the 120VAC power cord from the service outlet will water flow stop?
If we need to troubleshoot further are you a DIY’er that’s wants to try to DIY the fix?
If not maybe we can point the Service Company in the right direction to bring out parts on the first service call….. Rich
