Question about Dometic RM2652 Refrigerator

Have a dometic refrigerator in our fifth wheel. I

Have a dometic refrigerator( I think RM2652 or RM 2852) in our fifth wheel. I checked the fuses ,the batteries are brand new and checked them. but still no power to the refrigerator. Everything else works in the trailer. Not sure what is the problem.

    Thank you, we had a recall on this refrigerator a few years back but went to the link that you provided and it says that the recall has been expanded. I know the last recall was for the front panel. And I was reading some answers to others and that could be the problem again. I will keep you updated on the outcome. Hopefully you are right.They said we are on the recall list.

I have a Dometic model RM 2652. when i turn on the refrigerator it trips the GFCI everytime but does not through a breaker just the gfci


Check the amps it's pulling and uprate any fuses. If over current stated on data plate suspect compressor (or heater on absorption type)

RM 2652 will not get cold


Check the 5 amp buss fuse behind the frig.

Dometic 2852 freezer gets cold but refridge does not


If your freezer is getting down close to zero degrees (F) then I doubt that your refrigerant is low. The most common cause of the refrigerator section not getting cool (approximately 40 degrees (f)) is a fan that pulls the coils in the freezer into the refrigerator has failed. A very common failure of a cheep little fan motor. Normally that fan is behind a panel in the freezer section at the bottom. Determine where the cold air in the refrigerator section normally enters and the fan will be above there.
