Question about Proform LX660 Treadmill Walking Belt

2 Answers

The treadmill stops after about 20 minutes or so. I push the fuse back in, and then I can start it again. It shuts off again after 15 - 20 minutes or less. Can I replace the fuse, or what is the problem?

Try lubricating the running belt. Any decent sized fitness store should have a lubrication kit. Also, make sure the machine is plugged into a dedicated circuit. Meaning, there are no other devices on the same circuit as the treadmill. Not just the same outlet, but the entire circuit of the room you have the treadmill in. You also want to make sure it's not on any extension cords. Plug it into a surge protector (power bar with a cord less than 6') and then directly into the wall. Those are the 3 main culprits why treadmills shut down after a short period of time.

Car shuts of suddenly while driving. Starts back up after 20 minutes.

When the gas-cap is plugged, you build up vacuum in the gas- tank and cause the gas flow to stop.
Use premium gas only, ETHANOL in the mix is attracting moisture/water which is part of the problems.

My treadmill stops running after 3 minutes. It shuts down and I have to reset and start over again. After another 3 minutes, it shuts off again.

Sounds like a motor or electrical system cooling problem. Could be dirt or blocked motor. Try Computer air blast can and or a vacuum to clean out motor and electronics.

You need to replace the walking belt. Don't use the machine until you've replaced that.

Lube the treadmill for deck belt+roller bearing too.
This happen because the lack of maintenance schedule.
See the video, if after you fix it, the problem remain, is TIME to replace the old deck board.

Pro-form 370e crosswalk treadmill when the start button is pushed it starts up then stops immediately.

1)Lube the deck belt, this a problem by lack of maintenance, this produce enough friction and shut down the machine, by protecting the electronic system.
2) Test the input voltage motor, if there are voltage, the motor need repair.
3) Test the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are NOT voltage the board is faulty.
God bless you

My treadmill runs for 15 minutes than stops for a minute than start up for 10 minutes than stops, than start up

It is designed to be able to be restarted after about 5 minutes. When it stops, wait 5 to 10 minutes, reset the circuit breaker. Of course you still have the same problem.

The motor contoller board is most likely overheating do to friction, so you're going to need to lubricate the walking belt(this should actually be done every 6 months) you can order a kit on ebay for about 15-20 bucks, it's called " lube n walk ", and no, I don't sell it, but I use it on the treadmills I service.

I recomend you loosen the belt one full turn on each side before you lube the belt, apply the lube and run the treaadmill for one mile without anyone on it and then let it rest for a while.

After that give it a try. if the belt slips, then tighten it back up one turn, but don't over tighten it.

I also recomend using a single outlet surge supressor.

That should solve your problem.
