Question about Jenn-Air Grilling
Jenn Air Stainless Steel LP Gas Grill Model 720-0164. Igniter needs replacing. Have new part but can't wiggle out the old part. There are 6 leads that need to be swapped out. Do I have to take off side shelf and disassemble the chasis of the grill? Could use some assistance . Thanks much!
If it is like mine, you have to remove the front control panel on the side burner and the front of the side shelf. Remove four screws behind the fronts below the shelf/burner and then you will have access to the screws to remove the main control panel. Be careful with all the hoses and gas piping. If the electronic ignitor is melted like mine(i am on #3), you have more problems than the igniter. I had to replace the burners and the gas valves to stop the flame from "backing up" into this area. Hope this helps.
