My Dell 968w all in one machine will not scan into one online company database. I think the path on the browser will not load. My tech support is gone for the weekend. What should I do? I need to be running the scan this weekend.

Hi

1. Turn on your computer and printer, and make sure they are connected.
2. Load your original document. For more information, see Loading Original Documents.
NOTE: Do not load postcards, photo cards, photo paper, or small images in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Place these items on the scanner glass.

In Windows Vista :
1. Click Start icon® Programs.
2. Click Dell Printers.
3. Click Dell 968 AIO Printer.

In Windows® XP or Windows 2000:

Click Start® Programs or All Programs® Dell Printers® Dell 968 AIO Printer.
Select Dell All-In-One Center.The Dell All-In-One Center opens.
From the Send scanned image to: drop-down menu, select the program you want to use.
NOTE: If the program you want to use is not listed, select Search for more in the drop-down menu. On the next screen, click Add to locate and add the program to the list.
Click See More Scan Settings to customize your scan.
After customizing your settings, click Scan Now.

    Hi Wiz,



    I work for a USA financial firm and the advanced search is not showing the company logo or name as required by regulations. Is this a tech issue I must resolve with tech support on Monday the 13th of July?



    My e-mail response from tech support on friday evening was "scan and send" or a like three word

    response.



    If you can't help I'll understand or do I have to have a more in depth personal phone conversation with tech support than the call that I made friday before 5pm close of business? I made the call 45 minutes before close of the business. Maybe not enough time for a solution. I beleive, that a window opened to browse and if I were to enter the path of the scan would this help or be the possible solution?

The scanner, which used to be fast, now runs extremely slow. It takes about a minute and a half for the Dell AIO Center software to load, nearly 3 minutes to preview, and 2 minutes to scan. So just to scan...


Scanners speed is influenced by the quality chosen in document productions. Selecting impressionful color saturation requires time to produce results. Use the menu buttons on the scanner to select least saturated color pixels.

Replace ink cartridge dell 968w


Officemax sells them, or did at least a year ago when I was a Technological Specialist for one of their stores in my local state. Other than that, it's a place like cartridge world, or dell.com themselves. (Wal-Mart, although notorious for selling their printers, doesn't sell any ink for them...go figure)

Dell does not have a driver for Mac but this printer is created by Lexmark for Dell so Lexmark might have the driver but this has not been confirmed.

You can check this site from Dell.

Go inside printer menu and assign it a static IP address, address that is not in use by any of your other devices. use 255.255.255.0 for subnet and your router ip as gateway

It take more than 3 minutes to connect on line,plus the computer moves very slow


have your pc scanned for viruses, viruses tends to cause these, if you finished scanning and theres no virus in your system have your hardware check, by a computer tech. a failing device is reason for a slow system

Dell 968w printer - won't connect to my Mac. is there a driver I can download to fix the problem? Dell tech support states this printer won't support a Mac OS.


For basic printing, use the PC as a server:

I don't have personal experience, but I'm guessing that for photo printing you'll need a new printer.

I have a 968AIO printer and printer will not copy when i request it from my computer


This could be a problem with the HP Scanning
drivers.
You might be using ,either the HP DIrector or Hp Solution Center for the scanning

The HP TWAIN service should be running.

reinstalling the drivers and making sure that the scan service is working fine will resolve the issue.

There is no real solution to this problem that I've been able to find. And I myself have not been able to find anyone that has the service manual for this color printer.

Here is what happened with my printer. I normally use this one company for compatible toner cartridges for our office printers. I've never had any issues with their HP, Brother, Canon Phaser or Dell laser products - EVER. When I went to re-order my Dell 5100cn toners again from them - ordered 2 black and 1 each cyan, magenta and color - none of the toners worked right. When they were installed, the machine produced that 009-363 restart printer message.

Now this company has ALWAYS taken care of me. We thought maybe the chips in the toners were outdated or something compared the the recent firmware update my printer had recently had. So they shipped out a complete new order for me. But the second set of toners did the same thing. So they sent one of their Dell Certified technicians to the office - we are on a cleaning plan with them so he just looked at the Dell printer while he was there doing the other work. He could not find anything physically wrong with the first or second set of toners, but yet they would not work in my printer. He even tried going through the menu options to select "allow non-Dell toners" too - thinking that maybe the printer just wasn't liking the Dell compatibles. I never had to do this before with their Dell compatibles, but it was worth a try. But even when selecting that, the printer still produced the 009-363 restart printer message. He took the toners back with him, and left me with a set of Genuine Dell toners - just to get me through what was happening so I wasn't down a printer.

The company called me and said when the technician returned with the compatible Dell toners they'd shipped me, they installed them in their test Dell 5100cn printer and they worked fine! So it was appearing that the problem might have been my machine or something.

I searched online everywhere, and the supply company I used also spoke with Dell tech support on my behalf - but got no where with Dell as usual - their Tech Support is totally useless!

About a month goes by, and my supply company says that they received a new shipment of Dell chips that have a newer firmware than even what my printer has, and that they'd like to send their technician out again to test them out in our machine. The tech came by, installed all of the toners - and they worked!

So it definitely was something to do with the firmware that was on my printer versus the firmware that was on the chips in their toners. My printer for some reason did not like that "lot" of toners they had made using those chips. And when they produced their next lot with the new firmware chips, the printer accepted everything ok.

Since then I've used their Dell compatibles with no issues. I think it was just a fluky thing as it hasn't happened since. Overall I think you just need to find a company like mine that continuously produces new toner cartridges using new Dell chips in their toners. Once in a while you might get a fluky one like we did, but my company definitely took care of us. Just try to find a company that has a good cartridge - you don't have to keep buying the expensive Dell brand - especially when they don't even know what the problem is caused by either.
