Did u check the frequency's each has the four little tabs that have to be matched. Its a simple up or down on 4 little keys. u almost need an eyeglass screw driver to move them. If the keys on the transmitter above the fan do not match the keys in the remote they r on different frequencys.

If you have the receiver in the canopy, then yes. You probably have to replace the receiver & transmitter .

Our Hampton Bay 52 in. Ceiling fan lights will not shut off but the remotes will still turn the fan on and off.

More than you will have to replace that remote and receiver with a new one . They sell them at lowes homedepot menards. Its very easy to install the reveiver is mounted in the cover at the ceiling. Make shure you set the little dip switches in the controller and receiver to the same number before installing.Hope this helps.

My Hampton Bay ceiling fan runs only on high speed and the remote has stopped working even after changing the batteries. Does Hampton Bay have a life time warranty?

Yes, look up www.hamptonbay.com and get their contact number from them. It sounds like your transmitter (Remote) has failed. If it were the receiver the fan would most likely not work at all.

Hampton bay ceiling fan (7030T) remote does not work.

This symptom is usually caused by either a bad receiver or bad transmitter. Install a new remote system (receiver & transmitter).

HAMPTON BAY CEILING FAN MODEL # UC7067RC

I have a solution for you. Call 1-866-600-FANS(3267) and give them the numbers on the side of the receiver. Example: 7067FM-22 (6+5) Variations of this receiver are used by many different manufacturers including Hampton Bay,Emerson,Minka Aire, etc... There is a web site that shows a few examples of this receiver available. http://www.fanmanlighting.com
P.S. It helps to know if your Ceiling Fan has a 2nd light above the fan or reverses direction from the transmitter.

52" Romano Hampton Bay Fan

I have the same problem and I notice that the fan goes in reverse when I turn off and back on. I have not found the solution yet but I would say that the remote has factory defects.

Hampton bay ceiling fan with built-in remote receiver

In case someone else stumbles upon this:
I replaced the remote receiver on one of these fans. jb is right just the top housing that touches the ceiling needs to be removed. Twist it counter clockwise and pull down. You'll see all the wires and the remote receiver. It might not seem like much room to work with, but you can remove the wires and slide the receiver out sideways to replace it or if you can't see the dip switches. Too bad Home Depot is too cheap to even provide instructions when they send you the replacement remove receiver.

Remote problems

This sounds like one of the most common problems with Hampton Bay's remote-contolled fans...either the transmitter (remote control) or the receiver (mounted in the fan, typically inside the ceiling canopy) has gone haywire. A circuit has blown or something is short-circuited, and it has a mind of it's own. Some things work, others don't, and others only intermittently. The only fix is to replace the receiver and transmitter, which are relatively cheap and sold as a pair at your local Home Depot and Lowes.

Hope that helps! If you ave any other questions, feel free to ask!
