Try a hard restart, which simply means unplugging the power cord of the TV, and replugging it after 4 hours have passed. This technique reprograms the electronics, to a certain extent. If the picture does not return, then your TV has a more serious problem, that requires the attention of a repairman.

I am sumising that you have checked the menu controls on your tv and are recieving your signal from the cable box , so therefore if it is not comong from the Aerial and direct from the cable company then the picture should be clear .. However sometimes people dont check to see if the signal is RGB or composite from the box RGB is usually best if you have a scart socket connection or SVHS if your set has that capability .. sometimes people have an old VHs recorder and the sinal is coming from that to the set through the Aerail fly lead if it is you will probably find they are conflicting giving you a poor picture retune your Video to another channel instructions should be in its manuel if not come back to me ... reagrds Vortash

The registration card may help with warranty going through the TV company. But, that's the last option.
You can fix it yourself by replacing this board. The board number should be BA71G0F01043.
The 8 Inverter transformer are the problem. They are on many TV power boards that are causing the same problems.
Ebay is selling a couple for $49. Good price I think.
If you decied to throw the board in the trash, let me know. I maybe able to help you fix it so you can have a spare board. I fixed mine that way.

You may need to set up the video card to see the TV so you can display the computer on it.Somewhere in the setting for your video card should be settings for that.

If you television is till under warranty have a service person check it out. you may have a minor problem with the video locking circuits. This may be a simple repair of fixing cold solder joints. You should not get loss of signal. This usually happens when the connectors are not properly aligned with the connections. This can also happen with the cable not keeping a steady input voltage to the television. You can call the Dynex customer service at this telephone number 1-800-305-2204 between the hours of 7am-12am CST. Give them a call and ask them if this is a known problem with your type of set-up they may have a fix for it. You can also go to the customer service web site at.(http://www.dynexproducts.com/pc-696-23-dynex-42-1080p-flat-panel-lcd-hdtv.aspx) You can use the customer service e-mail service to talk to the service people. Give them the model number of your television and the problem you are having with the random loss of video signal. They should be able to help you with the repair. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
