Hi, I don't now you have SA1.. or SA2.. type of Vibe player but if you have SA1.. you should try this: From the main menu of the device enter in to settings and select Connect PC preference.Change this from MTP to MSC mode and try the connection with the PC again. I hope this helps you. Thanks. gylacz
To reset your Sansa Mp3 player. 1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power switch. 3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly. If that does not get your player working again, try and Format to clear any corrupt files that may be present. You will lose all your music - sorry. For the Sansa Clip: 1. From the Main Menu, in the player -> select Settings -> Format. 2. Select Yes. You can also format using Media Player if you have unfrozen your player. 1. ->start Media PlayerIf you have Media Player 10 --- Connect the Sansa player to the PC in MTP (See next step to change to MTP mode) . 1. Turn the player OFF. 2. Slide the Hold switch down to Lock (orange color showing). 3. Press and hold the center button while connecting the player to the PC with the USB cable. once you have done that... Click on the Sync tab.(be sure your player shows in the pull down menu)Click the pencil icon on the upper right corner of the window.Click OK to start formatting. Now if you have Media Player 11---Click the Sync tab.On the left panel, look for the device. It is usually the last device listed.Right-click on the device and select FormatClick OK to format.
What I did was turn OFF my zen C plus, and as soon as I turned it back ON, i held down the play/pause button, the back button, and the select button/joystick. this brought me to that menu that offers unloading the firmware and rebooting and so forth. I selected the first option, which scanned the player; then I rebooted it, and not only did my player read on my PC, but ALL my music came back too! It was sweetness in its form.
I had the same problem. This worked for me on a Zen that is 2 years old: Go into the Control Panel on the start menu and select System. Then select Hardware and then Device Manager. You will see a list of all the devices on your pc. Now you should see your Zen about half way down the list. Highlight it and then at the top in the menu item Action select Uninstall. Windows will then uninstall your hardware. Unplug your Zen from the USB port, if you haven't already done so, and then plug it back in. Windows should then reinstall your device and you should be good to go.
k, to erase internal memory do this: 1-Turn off device. 2-Hold power to start but keep it held + the menu button, hold those UNTIL the menu comes up. 3-let go of the switch and button and scroll to 'erase internal memory.
Make sure that you have installed the software the the mp3 player came with and that you have powered on the mp3 player once it is connected.
If you want the Sansa e250 to show up in "My Computer" under removable devices, go to the main menu of the player software and go to Settings/USB Modes/ and change the mode to MSC (Mass Storage Class).
Hope that helps.
