ERROR "PRINT UNABLE 50" WHAT DO I DO TO FIX THIS?

Machine Error 50 either means that there is a loose object inside the machine (usually piece of paper), or that there is a mechanical error which would need you to have the machine sent to service.

I have a konica 2400 w magic color. error message paper jam when no paper jam

Hi Camru, I wondering if the jam light is on at power up before data is sent to your machine or if it occurs after a print job is sent to it?

If it is on constant ie before a print is sent to it, then we have a sensor or paper detect switch activated. If this is the case then it can be a piece of paper or a remaining fragment of paper holding down the switch or the switch arm itself is broken or its corresponding light sencing photocell is covered in toner/dust.

In Printers there are a number of these sensors in the paper path, generally we have one that detects paper at cassette and bypass position, another at registration roller another at fuser exit, the machine monitiors these switchs for activation to tell if a jam is present. These switchs are tiny plastic arms that get pushed down when paper passes them which in turn blocks the photocell sencing light. One normally finds fragments of paper sticking the arm down, or the arm broken, most of the time the printer also tells us jam position so we know which switch it is seeing a jam condition at. Check the switch operation by looking for them, and ensuring the arm is moving freely.

The other possibility is the machine with no data present shows no error but a error occurs when a print job is sent to it. If this is the case it is caused usally by incorrect paper size settings in printer paper size menu or the printer drivers paper size settings on installed driver in printers under control panel of computer, It can also be caused if the paper is feeding multi sheets from cassete due to dirty rubber rollers in printer itself or not picking paper from tray at all as the feed roller is slipping on paper in tray due to losing its grippyness.

I clean feed rollers with water, just slightly damp rag and rub the rubber surface of the feed roller, sometimes they are so worn they need replacing, I will post a pic for you and also here is the service manual of a machine pretty much the same as yours.

This is another uses post on how he fixed his, please note this will be the same as yours only if jam only occurs after data is sent to your machine.

Cheers

Steve

Help with Haunted Woods board game please.

If you haven't found the rules already, they are available on http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2367/haunted-wood under the "Files" section down the bottom.
Copy of rules:
A “spooky” children’s dice game full of ghosts and goblins.
Age 5-10
2-4 Players
Contents
1 playing board, 20 playing pieces, 1 die

Object of the Game
To be the first player to get three pieces in the tower at the end of the trail.

Preparation
The jigsaw board must be put together. Each player chooses a color, takes the five pieces of this color,
and places them at the start.

Play
Starting with the youngest, players take turns throwing the die and moving their pieces out onto the trail.
The “start” space counts as number one. If a player throws a six, he must make his move and then may
take another turn.

The two square spaces are important. The first one is just before the river and the second one is at the
base of the tower. Whoever reaches one of these spaces must wait there, often losing the remainder of
his turn. The piece stays there until a second piece, of the same or different color, comes along. This
second piece helps the first one over the obstacle, moving it to the first space across the river or up into
the tower depending on where it is. The second playing piece must now wait on the square space until
another piece of any color comes along to help it, and so on. Throughout the game players can always
choose whether to move a piece further along the trail or to bring out a new one.

Sending Back
Pieces standing on the square spaces cannot be sent back. Otherwise, if a player lands on a space
occupied by another piece, including his own, the piece landed on is sent back. It is sent back by up to
two numbered spaces.

From the start up to before 2 - back to the start
From 2 up to the river - back to 1
From 4 up to before 5 - back to 3
From 5 up to before 6 - back to 4
From 6 up to the tower - back to 5

Pieces on numbered spaces are also safe from being sent back, unless another piece arrives there after
being landed on further along the trail. In this case, the piece already on the number moves back to the
next numbered space. If this is occupied, the piece there is sent back too, and so on.

End of Game
The first player to get three of his pieces into the tower is the winner. If all players wish to extend the
game, then they can agree that the winner is the first player to get all five pieces into the tower.

Won't print!

Hi there, well I found a manual and online drivers for this unit. If you have never printed on this machine, and it is currently on the nwtwork? You have to either log into the printer or make sure the printer knows it is on the network. In the display it should state the IP address for the device. Also when you installed the drivers for the machine, I assume you did a successful "Test Page Print"? Let me know if you have more problems. Here are your links:

HP Color Laserjet 1500L doesnt always print yellow

To solve the printing problem..

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Hope this help. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
