Question about Philips VOIP3212 IP Wireless Phone
I am having this frustrating problem with the Philips VOIP321 software not responding and never connecting with skype. I am on Windows XP. I feel like I've tried EVERYTHING...new and old VOIP321 drivers (V 3.7.3 and V 3.8.3), new and old versions of skype, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and skype so many times my head is spinning..nothing works. I've emailed and called Philips, their advice is to use the exact version of their driver and skype (which is a very old version of skype I might add) provided on their install disc but even that doesn't work. I got the voip321 software to connect for about 10 seconds before going back to 'not responding' status when I stopped my windows firewall service, however that has not worked again since.
This phone is offered for sale in skype shop so I of course trusted that skype is recommending a phone that will work with their software, but obviously this is not the case.
Does anyone have any suggestions?..I'm losing my mind!!!! Thank you in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just put both the VOIP321 driver (latest ver from Philips site) & Skype software (latest version) into XP SP2 compatability mode and it all works the way it has done for years. Running Win7 64bit O/S.

Just got the phone myself. I can only offer the same advice I would give to any other usb related problem.
first, put the usb device in another usb port.
Then uninstall the software, then reboot and reinstall.
You sound like you know what you are doing so I am guessing you have already tried this. God luck with your search for the answer.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
