My screen on my hp pavillion dv 2000 begins to fade....goes white

My screen on my hp pavillion dv 2000 begins to fade. it starts going white and then blackens out. i move the screen and the images pop up again.iit requires often when in use. my model did have a recall for battery problems. i just now have the laptop plugged in when in use.

You have a loose connection on the cable for the screen. The case of the laptop must be removed and the cable reseated in its connector and the problem will be gone.

Yes, it's a screen problem. It could be a loose connection of the LCD and the motherboard or the lid lights gone bad. You can fix that by either resetting the connection of the screen and the motherboard or replacing the whole screen. You would need a technician to do that.

Reset factory settings on hp 2000


In order to reset the PC to factory settings you must do a system recovery, this is located in the system "Tools" (a sub menu of accessories) menu in "Programs" from the "Start" menu.

Screen fade to white


Firstly, May be the drivers are corrupted, reinstall the drivers again (uninstall>restart>install drivers and restart).

If it doesnt solve yet then change the slot, put it in other slot.
