HI. No fee is required to view open forum Q&A. This is commonly refer to as our free section. Simply look to the right of each question listed in that particular section of our site, and you will notice how many solution's that were given to that specific question. You can begin on the home page and use our search engine located on the top for advance searches.

With that said, if you want an instant answer to a question, you will be charged for that instant service, as in this case.

Recent website outage led me to search about fixya. Found many people saying they were getting paid for answers, and others saying they were being charged for asking questions. What the deal?

I'm fairly new to this site, and all I know is I'm not getting paid. I like to help people, maybe some are trying to take advantage of people. I do know there are some sites that do charge for the help, but I haven't found that to be the case on here.

Do you ever fricking answer a ? I posted the hammer question over a week ago. If this. Is your rate of answer frick it, this site sucks

Richard. This site is "manned" with volunteers for answering questions. Every one has his / her speciality. I invest some hours, to see if I can help anyone. I do have to skip the questions I can't answer. My knowledge is in electronics, photography and a little less about cars and engines. Mechanical tools are not in my knowledge base, so I skip those.
It could be last week no one with the right knowledge to answer noticed your question. You did not have the luck to get an answer. Lots of people do get an answer, and I know as soon as they get a good answer they are pleased. Lots of people thanked me for my answers. These "thank you Harrie" is everything I answer for. I understand you are disappointed your question was not answered, and I can't answer it, because I don't know enough about drill hammers. But is that a reason to give an opinion like this?
I could understand your reaction, if you had payed for an answer and nothing was delivered. But it hurts me to read your question here. This is everything I want to say.
Sorry.

Please review the terms of use for this web site concerning paid questions and answers.

Ths long and short of it is if you accept the answer - you pay the fee. If you do not reject the answer with in 7 days of the final action, you pay the fee.

As always, you may use the free section at any time for no charge what so ever. You also have the option of directing your paid question to any particular expert of your choice. Further, there is a Chat feature and a telephone offering.

As a volunteer question catcher working from my home, I have nothing to do with the charges or credits to your account so I cannot ASAP anything, not even my dinner, which will be arriving shortly. You should contact the web site directly concerning your issues.

Thank you for your nterest n FixYa.com

You have lost your mind you claim you will help then at the very end you say how much am i willing to pay the hell with that

There is an option for 0. There is no charge to post a question. It offers you that option because that is an option on this site. If you elect not to pay for posting a question it is posted on the list and gets answered when an Expert comes across it with a solution. If you opt to pay a small fee your question is posted in a different section and usually gets answered a little faster. You are free to look through other solutions that are already provided if you desire. If you do opt to pay a fee to get your answer and the solution provided does not solve your problem you will not be charged for that solution. You have to accept the answer before you are billed what ever amount you elected to pay. Payment is optional.

What is your fee?

Please review the 'terms' of use page for full explanation of fees associated with this site.

Thumb nail ... You can have a Expert call you for about $30.00 ... you can chat on line for about $20.00, you can ask a question in the paid section for another amount, you can subscribe on a monthly basis and ask lots of questions for another price ... or you can ask free questions such as you have here, for no fee.

This site is powered by volunteer question answering people (just like me) working when they want from our homes offices and shops ... taking the questions we want to answer. If you pay for the service, your question will be directed to a Expert who is currently on line and your question will remain at the top of the listing until it is answered. In the free section, your question may or may not be caught before it falls below the first couple of pages. Some people go looking for specific types of questions, as a rule, I don't.

When you ask your question please be brief but specific. Please post your question under an appropriate section. State what if anything you have done to correct the problem. Good questions get good answers at FixYa.com

Feel free to peruse my profile - click on my (or any other Expert) name to get a lot of details on questions I have answered in the past.

Thank you for using FixYa.com today.

How much you have to pay for advice

You can ask for free, or you can pay a fee. It works this way--- This is largely a volunteer thing, with some opportunity to earn a few bucks. If you ask an interesting question, you'll get a quick free answer. If you ask a tougher question (or if you don't give enough information) you might not get an answer at all. However, if you pay a fee, you give the volunteers additional incentive to answer your question - and you can reject unhelpful answers, throwing it back for a new answer. good luck, Al K

Have i got an email account need toknow can u help

You need to state a question ...

First step in using FixYa.com is to search for your question in the search box ... if your question is not found, you state a question and wait for an answer. Terms of use preclude 'question answers' from contacting 'question askers' directly outside this site ... PLEASE do not enter your e-mail or your telephone number or your name anywhere in this site. This is for your protection.

All the 'question answering' people here are volunteers giving of their own time. Most questions are answered for no fee. If you have a particularly difficult question or you need a expert answer now!, FixYa.com offers several 'pay for use' options ... briefly, paid to get answers or chat answers or telephone support. All the particulars are available through the home page at this web site.

I hope I have answered your question satisfactorily and I hope you will give an appropriate high rating for this free answer.

Thanks for your interest in FixYa.com
