Xerox Phaser 6250DP sensor not cleaning

I have a Xerox Phaser 6250DP and when i try to print, i receive an error asking me to clean the dirty sensor. I open the machine and that sensor is located behind the transfer roller. I clean the sensor but after that, the printer keeps with the same error.

Is there a specific code coming up? That can make it easier to pinpoint the exact problem.

    Give this a try.

The Phaser 6250 should be powered on with the Transfer Roller removed, so the CTD Sensor will detect it missing and the Install or Reseat Transfer Roller message will be displayed. Leave the power on when reinstalling the new Transfer Roller Assembly and, once
the cover is closed, the machine should proceed to Warming Up.

If message does not clear and machine does not warm up, use NVRAM Access in Diagnostics to Reset CRU Life. Verify the CTD (ADC) Sensor and Transfer Roll Toner Full Sensor operate correctly in Diagnostics. Make sure the surface of the Transfer Roller is shiny and reflective (new), because a dull surface (defective or worn) will cause CTD readings to be out of range for a new consumable. Repeat the procedure above to clear Transfer Roller is at End of Life or Replace Transfer Roller message.

My xerox phaser 6250 prints the first page fine then the black fades on the following pages

Your toner supply route is partially plugged and it can't keep up with the demand. It's not an easy process to clean it but a can of air, toner vac, and an area you don't mind getting dirty are necessary. Pull the imaging unit out and dig around, blowing and vacuuming out toner. Also, pull the black toner cartridge and work through that way as well. If your black toner is low, that might be the problem.

Xerox Phaser 6250 yellow line at far left of page

Sounds like it is time to replace the imaging drum. This is a consumable and usually done every 15-20k pages. Cost is about $250-300 and very easily replaced, fast as changing a toner.

I am assuming that you tried changing the yellow toner already? If not, do that first...

Xerox Phaser 8400 error code 37,004.40:27697

The majority of the time that code means the print head has failed.
That is a print head heater error.
You can find some places that sell print heads for about $150 , you would have to google the model number for that.
Xerox would charge $750 for a new print head, uninstalled.

Xerox Phaser 6250N Jam at Registration Roller

I use to have the same problem, but downloaded a fuser patch at the Xerox site:

http://office.support.xerox.com/SRVS/cgi-bin/webcgi.cgi?new,kb=Phaser_6250,company=%7B5AC8CA72-62D5-4658-8D6F-D2F393C98A63%7D,ts=xo,ques=ref%28security_level%29:1,ques=ref%28Country%29:45,/,case=R1001052703

if that link doesn't work, go to the Xerox site and look in the area:

Home > Support & Drivers > Phaser 6250 > Knowledge Base

Follow the instructions and hopefully your printer problem will be resolved.

Xerox Phaser 6250 started printing bad

That really sounds like the imaging unit cleaner has an issue.
If you have one try the imaging unit, I really suspect that is your problem.
Black is Faded or Missing Step 1 Clean the Laser Windows and Remove Excess Toner From the Imaging Unit Step 2 Check or Replace the Imaging Unit Gear Retaining Pin Step 3 Replace the Imaging Unit (installation instructions) ic-film.gif
See if this link works. Xerox is infameous for these not working.

Xerox phaser 6250 NVRAM Failure

Cycle power, try cleaning the CTD (ADC) sensor and toner full sensor. This is what Xerox has to say about the NVRAM failure: On the front panel, press the key labeled i to view information about the error. Record the error code number. Turn off the printer. Reseat the fuser. Reseat the imaging unit. Reseat the toner cartridges. Turn on the printer. If the error continues to be displayed contact service. To be on the safe side you can follow the instructions here on the procedure to replace the transfer roler: http://office.support.xerox.com/SRVS/cgi-bin/webcgi.cgi Good luck
