Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 Digital Camera
You might benefit from a Google search--and here's a suggestion for what to search on: "picture aspect ratio". The aspect ratio refers to the shape of the picture. It is the same idea as difference between a "widescreen" TV and a standard, "fullscreen" TV screen. The numbers refer to relative size--if a picture was measured in inches, a4x3 would be 4 inches wide by 3 inches tall--almost square shaped. The 16x9 picture would be just a bit less than twice as wide as it is tall. That's all "aspect ratio" means.
