Try to use menu and settings. Also, date stamp can be used only in very low resolution images, change your image resolution and quality back to this large/superfine setting. And you can find the information related to date stamp in user guides. Look for them here Canon Camera user guides and owners manual

Cannot get date to print on .jpeg images when downloaded

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every photo in its EXIF metadata. If you want the date printed on your photos then please refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer you may have the option of printing the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

I have a Canon SX30. I happened to turn on the Date/Time and now apparently ALL the photos have this imbedded in them. The date and time appear in the photo when I view them on my computer. I had...

The date time stamp is permanent. Once its set and you take a picture it will stay on it even if you turn the time stamp off in the camera (this will prevent it from occurring to future pictures).

To remove it from the pictures you already have you can either crop the image so that the stamp no longer appears in the frame you want, or use a clone or blur tool in an image editing program to erase the stamp.

To turn it off in your model, press menu, use the side to side arrows to select the camera tab, then use the up or down arrows to select date stamp.

Use the left or right arrows to chose off instead of date or date and time.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

I unintentionally had the date appear on my images Can I edit them now in photoshop to remove the date easily?

That depends on what's behind the date. If it's something like blank sky, it's simple to use the clone brush to cover up the date. If it's something detailed, like a person's face, then it's much harder to do. In that case you might want to consider cropping the picture to get rid of the date.

Displaying time and date when printing

The date/time cannot be deleted once it is embedded in the image. To turn off the date/time deselect the date/time stamping by following procedure:
These instructions explain how to insert the date in images.
attention:
  • The [Date Stamp] cannot be deleted from the image data once it has been recorded because the date is written in as an image.
  • When selecting [Date Stamp] , [Recording Pixels] is set to 1600 x 1200 pixels and the compression (image quality) to [Fine].
  • When the shooting mode is set to <Movie> (g0029623.gif), settings for inserting the date and time cannot be made.
  • The following explanations are provided based on the assumption that the [Shooting Mode] is set to <Program AE> (g0034813.gif).

The date doesn't appear on photo when printed.

By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

Cannot get date appeared on pictures.

The date doesn't actually appear on the image. It's embedded in the data. You can see the date/time stamp by right-clicking on the image and selecting properties. You should see the date taken, date modified, etc..

If the date appears on the image as viewed on screen- Camera or Computer - it should print - if it does not then it is being cropped off in the print process. Carefully check your Camera Manual- Especially the PDF version on your software disk. Consider that if you are using the Camera's Software on your computer to print the images to remove the camera software -you do not actually need it to load images- and use another image editor
