Question about Computers & Internet
How are you?
From my experience, when receiving this error while performing a clean installation of Windows, it means - in 95% of the cases - a faulty hard disk drive... In other cases it indicates other problems, such as problematic motherboard or a bad installation CD.
(Also, If you're using a diskette to install a SATA adaper device driver, make sure it's in good condition).
I'd advise you using HDD Regenerator to try repairing your HDD.
Unfortunatelly, the free version doesn't allow repairing, but it'll sure tell you if the HDD is faulty or not...
For other possible reasons and solutions, kindy read this.

The could be cause by either of the two following, is either the operating system cd you are trying to install is corrupt or the memory stick on your system is bad, so i suggest, you get a another copy of the operating cd and try to load it on your system, if the problem still persist, then you will need to replace the memory stick on your system to enable you load your xp.
