Question about Sony KP-51HW40 51" Rear Projection Television
I have a Sony KP-51HW40 51 in. Rear Projection Television that has been moved and I noticed thin green lines on the screen I tried to adjust the green on the convergence the lines went away but a few days later the screen would get bright green and shut off. Is this something I can adjust or do I need to get a tech to come out.
There are few possibilities for these thin green lines, we call it retrace lines.
Either screen (G2) volts are high for green picture tube or cathode volts (+200V) are missing on green crt base circuit board. And last is green picture tube got shorted internally.
In view of above info, you can decide to call tv repairman or do it yourself.
Let me know if you have additional question.
