When I get ready to print it is saying that the cartridges are missing and I have replaced both cartridges and also I put the old ones back in and it is still saying the same thing.

What cartridge versions(model #) are you using? Make sure you are using genuine Lexmark cartridges. Cartridges for the X1150 are black: #16 or #17 and color: #26 or #27. Try to remove the cartridges from your printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and make sure they are properly inserted and secured in the cartridge carrier. Close the cover and try to print again. If error continues, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

Printer wont comunicate with Computer

Try to unplug your printer from your computer. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset itself. When your printer turns on completely, reconnect to your computer. Try to print again. If problem continues, you may refer to these articles in the Lexmark website:

My computer is'nt comunication with the printer

It could be just a slight communication issue. Try to unplug your printer from your computer. Then unplug the printer from the power source. Replug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, replug it into your computer. Doing this usually fixes minor communication issues. If error continues, you may refer to this article on 'Communication Not Available' Error Message and Print Job Stalls in Print Queue for troubleshooting steps. You can also contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance. Thanks.

Print job will not print nor delet. what do I do

Make sure to clear any print jobs stuck in the queue first before trying to print again. If you're using Windows, follow the steps below.

If you're using Mac, launch Terminal and simply type cancel -a -
Before trying to print again, make sure the printer driver is properly installed. You can download the latest Lexmark X5470 driver from the Lexmark website for free. Make your Lexmark printer your default printer.
You can also try to unplug and replug the printer to the power source to reset it. This seems to fix minor communication issues.
If problem continues, please contact Lexmark technical support. Thanks.

My 842C Deskjet had a paper jam and even though I pulled out the paper, The bottom red light continues to flash.

Hi,

Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry. Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print. Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job. Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..
