    **** it same problem

Any burning application that I use with this drive does not work correctly (no DVD works after burning and each application will only show an interface to write CDs and not DVDs - another reason the DVD burning may not work). The drive worked ok in Ubuntu but not in XP.

I know what you mean. I have made a few DVD coasters with the built in burner. Fortunately, there are a lot of DVD burner programs out there. There is even a version of Nero for Linux if you are doing serious work and want to buy from a commercial company.

K3b under Linux will recognise and burn correctly. Make a bootable live usb-stick for Mandriva, Kubuntu or Fedora or.........many others.
Boot from usb and burn DVD,.
When finished you can close down, remove the usb-stick and be be back as you were.
Or if impressed with the experience install Linux as a dual or only boot.

Can't read DVD+R that were recorded on LG-DR389 on my PC / Laptop DVD

The DVD+R is the older version that was used, all newer ones use the DVD-R now, your problem is the disc is not recognized in the other players because of the different format.

Ny dvd player doesn't read any dvd's, it makes an attempt and then it reads no disc. Model# RC 700N LG DVD\VCR combo I did try using a lens cleaner

You have two options. One buy a replacement deck that will only take a phillips screw driver and about ten minutes to swap out or buy an LG IDE pc drive and swap out the lens. The first option will cost anywhere from $ 30 to $ 200. The second will cost from $ 10 to $ 20 but takes about 20 minutes to swap out the laser unit. I always do the second option. You can use any LG pc drive with the numbers GSA-H**n or GSA-41**b. I used GSA-H10n and GSA-4165B but you can buy any pc drive except those with the letter "L" which designates LightScribe. Those units don't seem to work. When you swap out the laser you may have to use the circuit board in the pc drive but that's also easy to exchange.

I have the same issue of "No Disk" error on LG RC797T DVD Rec.

There are many reasons for the message you receive. Essentially it is a generic message that indicates that the disc inside the unit is unreadable. This can be because the disk is defective, the optics are defective or the spindle motor is defective. There have been cases where I have found the controlling ICs to be defective. The most common cause is a dirty lens on the optics. Cleaning this plastic lens using a cotton swab and alcohol often resolves the problem. This may not be the case here. A good test is to attempt to play a music CD. If the CD plays OK but a DVD does not, it indicates that the controling circuitry and the spindle motor are likely to be OK and that the optics are failing.

Try cleaning the lens and report the results here.

I want my LG HT752 dvd player to play multi region discs. Is this possible?

he place to get it from is here http://www.lgregionfree.mfbiz.com/#/instructions/4525089618

You need proper CD burning software like nero as windows xp/vista wont copy it correctly.

Basically you download the zip file from the site. Unzip it and place its contents onto a cd.
(On nero make it a data disc)

Stickitinto the drive when it loads the disc should eject and you shouldhave a screen giving you the current region and asks what region youwant to make it. Make it 0 for multi-region.

Just done this today thats how i know making a cd on vista/xp doesn't work.

Lg rh266 recorder

When you put your disc in and its ready for copying over through Dubbing - when you see the quality ie xp - just press right or left til the FAST sign comes up. it maynot always come up if the recording time is any longer than an hour or less than 30 mins.

pg 47 of your manual
