Question about Hotpoint Washing Machines
Hotpoint WDL520 - Fabric Conditioner Drawer is always found to be full of water at the end of a wash programme. If a small amount more water is added it empties itself. Hotpoint engineer found 'no fault' so I would like to be better prepared before I call him again! Washing results are quite poor, so suspect Conditioner is leaking or being washed into machine during the wash cycle.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Fabric conditioner drawer
Try cleaning inside the the machine where the soap dispenser drawer fits into. Sometimes this builds up with lots of soap and fabric conditioner residue and stops the conditioner from going through.
Take the drawer back out and look inside where it goes to see if there is a build up of soap etc...
hope this helps

The inlet to the conditioner compartment is probably blocked.
Get a thin piece of flexible wire and make a right angled bend on the end about 1" long, and poke it into all the holes u can see in the top of the dispenser compartment, particularly the ones at the front right side.
This should solve the prob.
Plz rate this solution .

Sometimes the drawer gets blocked with congealed fabric conditioner and or old soap powder, try removing the drawer and giving it a good wash. An old toothbrush is useful to get in the small areas. To remove the drawer: Pull the drawer out as far as possible, there is a small depression on the left hand side at the top of the drawer, about the size of a fingertip press the depression to release the drawer, and pull the drawer out. To relocate, line the drawer up, and place the long thin piece of plastic on the left hand side in the corresponding slot in the top of the drawer opening, you might have to kneel down to see it and slide the drawer in, you might have to press the depression again to pushe it home.
