Question about Brother PE-150V Computerized Sewing Machine
The machine will sew 2-3 stitches then the rest of the thread winds around the bobbin. THe thread builds up on the bobbin and the machine stops.
Hi. The two main reasons why the top thread doesn't pick up the bobbin thread is either the needle is inserted wrong or the needle is bent. Since your machine was sewing properly until the thread broke, I'd be inclined to think the needle may have gotten bent. Sometimes this can happen if you sew over a pin.
Change the needle (making sure the flat side of the needle shank is inserted properly for your machine) and see if that solves the problem. Let me know if it helps, ok?
Check to make sure the needle is in correctly. There is a flat side on the needle shank and that has to be facing a particular way. For most modern machines, the flat side of the needle faces to the rear, away from you, but it's always a good idea to check the manual to make sure on your machine. If the needle is bent, that can cause the same thing, but it's almost always that the needle is in wrong.
The problem is that your upper tension might be too loose. It needs to be tighter in order to pull the bobbin thread up.
Sorry for your problems ... things like this are very frustrating.
Here is what I would try.
Start over with a fresh needle. (you might have bent it slightly on the thicker material).
Completely re thread the machine paying particular attention to which way the thread spools off the main spool, as this will cause excess twisting of the thread. ( this is what that little hook is supposed to help prevent ). I know you have probably threaded the machine a million times but check the manual for routing the thread.
I hope this Helps !
