Error 1607 appears while trying to install the product. The installer is unable to invoke "InstallShield", a third-party utility used to perform the installation.
Step 1

  1. Select Start, Run, and type REGEDT32. Click OK.
  2. Browse to the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\InstallShield
  3. Check the permissions on this key:
Windows XP: right click and select "Permissions"
Windows 2000/NT: navigate to the "Security" menu and then select "Permissions"
  4. If not already assigned, assign "Full Control" to the following groups:
    a. Administrators
    b. SYSTEM
  5. Reboot the computer
  6. Try the installation again
Step 2
If step 1 did not correct the problem, please see this article on the InstallShield web site.

HERE is a link to the Microsoft Knowledge database that may be of help as well. (ALthough it mentions its for games, it should work with any software)

Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please report to author. what is this how can i solve this. some body send me the answer. i cont download any softwares and songs please help me please send me the...

I also have the same problem,

Error while unpacking program, code LP5.
-It means the software has been corrupted,

In order for you to check what that software is,
analyze the error message and dont close it yet,
Beside the Error message when you minimize it, you should see a logo beside it, make sure you know what that software is.
That software has been corrupted, so you should reinstall it, or uninstall.

Ill give a screenshot so you can understand what i mean .
a3df7b7.jpg

as you can see in the screenshot, i have spotted the software and it is DAP(Download Accelerator Plus Premium).

I can see that in your case, you have a problem with your downloader, as it is the reason why you cant download fromany other sites.

Trying to install Quarkxpress 7.0 error message says Unable to install Installshield scripting Error 1607

CAUSE loadTOCNode(1, 'cause'); This issue may occur if one of the following conditions is true: • The user account that you use to install the program does not have administrative rights. • You have programs running in the background that are interfering with the setup. • .NET Framework is not installed on the computer. • The Windows Installer program that helps you set up the game is not installed correctly. Heres what I would do, Firstly download and Install the lates .NET distributable from here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en

Then download and install the Latest windows installer package from here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=889482FC-5F56-4A38-B838-DE776FD4138C&displaylang=en

If after you install both of these and REBOOT you still get the error then let me know and we can go more indepth

Buscando por drivers

Dont worry you can download from D-Link's website. However you need to choose correct Revision (Rev A or Rev B) before download. Its very clearly indicated on the website. You can proceed to links;

driver for Revision A
http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=DWL%2DG510

driver for Revision B
http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=DWL%2DG510%5FrevB

If you dont know what revision you have you can check these links
for Revision A
http://support.dlink.com/prod_img/revisions/DWL-G510v.jpg

for Revision B
http://support.dlink.com/prod_img/revisions/DWL-G510_revBv.jpg

Good Luck

Monitor will not start up!!

It may be a corrupt backup you are trying to install, but if there is a corrupt file you will need to borrow a genuine XP disc off a friend to repair it. You can use your own license number for the copy so your friend shouldnt be concerned with piracy. You may get the pc running by locating on the motherboard either the 3 pin JBAT1 terminal and put jumper from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3 then back to 1-2, or short both pins if you have a 'CLRCMOS', 'CLRRTC' or 'RTC' 2 pin terminals with a jumper cap. Restart pc and it should make you press F1 to set the cmos time and date and hopefully boot into windows, but if not the first paragraph will be the solution to the problem.
