Question about LG Studioworks 45 14" CRT Monitor
I got a LG 500G monitor that I bought about 5 years ago, now it's totally turned off, and the power led indicator isn't even light up. then I Replace the transistor and IC in regulator block, but it didn't help, my monitor are still dead. then I check the voltage on the capacitor, my tester shows 220V DC, I check the input (primary coil) of regulator transformer it also shows 220V DC. but on the output (secondary coil) it shows 0V. is my transformer damaged? or is there any other component can cause this? Thank you for the help.
Through my past experience I mwould remove the solder point at the input power B+ line to primary winding FBT. If the HOT has shorted there will be no power.Straight to the point if you know where the HOT is , you can desolder the middle pin or collector of the HOT transistor. If you desolder the pin which result the power led light turn up. That indicates either FBT or HOT has shorted
