Make sure your window A/C unit is tilting slightly toward the outside of the dwelling. It sounds like it's tilted inside. Also, check the drain holes in the pan on the outside of the unit to be sure they aren't plugged up.

HOw to fix portable air conditioner? It is leaking

Unless it is leaking the refrigerant then what is dripping is the condensation air conditioners produce. This being a portable, it should have a drip pan that can be removed and drained. Window units just drip out the back and large units have a hose routed to drip away from the unit or into a drain.

How Do I get my air conditioner to stop dripping?

It's condensation. With central air, there is pipes that either discharge or recirculate it. Window a/c's do not have that. Try to position it so it drips outside.

If the old unit was dripping condensate into the house, it was installed incorrectly. The replacement unit may have been installed correctly so the condensate drains outside.

Where is the drain hole on goldstar window ac my ac keeps dripping water inside the house

Hello, make sure the unit is tilted toward the outside a bit, if it is level the condensate will collect in the front and start dripping inside the house. Also, if the unit has a drain make sure it is clean so the water can drain out properly.

There is no drain hole for water to drip outside.

These are designed to retain some water in the pan. This is for the slinger fan to throw water through the condensing coil. This helps the refrigerant cool and is important to the efficiency of the unit. I would certainly not recommend drilling a hole in the bottom. The hole may cause the water to roll somewhere where damage could occur. Try instead tipping the unit Backwards before bringing it in the house.

Amana AP095R Portable Air Conditioner is dripping water constantly. It didn't use to do this. What's wrong here?

all air conditioners condense water .. the water is normally drained to the outside thru a hole near the outside bottom of the unit .. the unit has to be mounted so that it doesnt tilt inward .. the drain hole has to be cleaned once in a while ... if its clogged or if the unit is tilted inward then the water will drain inside the house .. less likely but possible is a cracked or damaged drip pan inside the unit ... thats a shallow pan under the condenser (cold) coil that captures the water and directs it toward the outside drain .. so check the tilt and clean the drain

Water/condensation is backing up in the bottom of the unit and overflowing into the house.

The drain in the condensate drip pan is clogged. Locate it and clean it out.
