Re: Acer Aspire 5100 Driver problems...
You need to install device drivers go to acers web site and downloads or support, look for drivers, enter your model and then download drivers for any device that isn't working correctly and run the install applications and you should be good, or ask for more help installing the drivers.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

http://driverstock.com/Acer-Aspire-5100-driver-download/4-21-12867/index.html so ..my advise is to reinstall the windows xp ...cause this machine it was on xp from the first ...and this might be just the reason ..those are the drivers for it also ...you can download Everest software ...and locate the exact name of the wifi platform ..and look after that for a vista driver for it by its name ......this way you cant be wrong ...cause you locate the suitable driver ...not the ones they feed us in packages...
First remove the current driver from add/remove programs applet in Control Panel ,reboot and then reinstall the driver from the drivers CD or download it from Acer: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads_gd.html
Select Notebook ,Aspire ,then 5610z, by default the operating system is Windows Vista but you can change it if you have Windows XP.
Download the bison driver and reinstall it.
If you are able, when the pc is booting up keep pressing F8, this will take you to safe mode and not allow the graphics driver to run.
When in the safe mode options, select either Last known good configuration or start windows in safe mode.
Last known good configuration should find the last good system settings, when it reboots.
Start windows in safe mode allows you to go into windows using the administartor account, and then you should select system restore and restore back to the day before or just before you updated the graphics driver.
