Question about Xerox Phaser 8200 Laser Printer

Yep, that is an easy one.
The drum heaters are not working.
Easy way to tell is this. Turn the machine off, then turn the lights off so you can see the lamp glow better.
Look into the fan slots on the right side of the machine after you turn the machine back on. You should see an incandescent glow in the drum area. Give it a minute or two to come on, but I seriously believe you will see any lamps coming on.
Those are simple 120 volt 150 watt halogen lamps what warm the drum. One or both of them have blown fillaments.
They are a little time consuming to replace, and takes more patience than skill to do.
If you want a procedure for changing those let me know. You can buy them at Lowes or Home Deopt, anywhere that carries halogen lamps. The better ones cost less than $20 a pair, Xerox would want more than $200 for that assembly, when all is wrong is a couple of lamp filaments.

I'm sorry, I am not a mind reader. Could you please provide the following:
  • the number model of your printer,
  • the exact wording of the error message,
  • where you see it (computer or printer),
  • the program you are using when you get the message,
  • the operating system of the computer,
  • and the circumstances that cause the error message?
If you have physical symptoms that go with it (unusual noises, flawed printing, etc.) please describe those also.

Open the back side of the printer. There are 2 buttons for the envelope. Switch them so that they are at the same position for normal paper. See also manual. It's described there.

Press CANCEL JOB to clear the
print job from the printer
memory.
2. Turn the printer off, and then
turn the printer on again.
3. Go to http: www.hp.com/

. Check for the
latest firmware image version

WHAT DO i DO FOR ERROR # 1201?


The error message describes that: "The print carrier stopped before all of the data was used."

To reset the error code , try the following steps:
  1. Power the printer off.
  2. Remove all cables from the back of the printer.
  3. Reinsert the power cord.
  4. Switch the printer back on.
  5. Check the operator panel to see if the 1201 error message is displayed.
  6. If the error message returns, the printer could be defective.
  7. Contact Lexmark Customer Support for further troubleshooting and warranty options.

Label stuck inside HP Photosmart C3180


Follow the instructions given here, here & here for clearing a paper jam and cleaning the unit, and access the rollers from the back of the machine.(as described.) If you have problems clearing the error message, go to your home support page here, choose solve a problem, and see the error message solutions. As a last resort, reset the printer to clear a false error message.
