Question about Frigidaire FAC126P1 wall/window Air Conditioner

Identifying specs of blown transformer on PCB

On my FAC126P1A3, I've determined that the transformer on the PCB is blown. I need to get a replacement but it is not clear to me what specs I need the transformer to have. Frigidaire is not helpful as their solution is to replace the whole board, which will cost about 30 times what it would cost to replace the transformer. It is not labelled completely. It is identified as:
Power Transformer
TYPE: PT-6944 (DB35)
SPEC: EI 35x12

The company does not have a website that I can look this info up in, and I cannot test the transformer itself since it is blown, and in general, I have next to no experience in this kind of repair. Searching for EI35x12 brings up a number of chinese sites that have what looks like part of the transformer. Mine specifically has 4 connections (2 were soldered on, 2 free) on one side and 3 (2 soldered on, 1 free) on the other.
Can anyone help me by telling me what transformer to buy, or letting me know how to determine the requirements myself?

I have the same problem, with the same transformer. Did you ever find the specs?

I was thinking of buying the Frigidaire board, connecting to line voltage and measure output voltage.

look at the relay volage on the board there 12DC so there for the secandary vltage is between 12-15 Vac 12v comming off the recifer means on a full wave bridge is 12v out + the doide voltage drop 1.4 v or .7 pre doide means 13.4 v ac on the secondary and 120Vacon the primary you need a solder vac to remove the bad transformer in question and go to radio shack to look up one simler in size and demintion if noy youcan remote mount one in the unit it self if you got the balls you can cut back the insulation in the outer jacket there a fuse line ment to blow it a non renewing type put a dab of solder on the jion the unit should come back to life provinding the unit not blown

I need to replace the transformer inside my 12 volt charger. I can not find who makes the ES -66-287rev5 transformer. Need help.

If you have the skill to determine the transformer input is open, I would expect you have the skill to replace a transformer. Based on this assumption: determine the input voltage (120 vac?), determine the output voltage (14 vac?), determine the power requirements (output voltage times the charging current), find a transformer at or or

Why does an electronic transformer not give any output?

Measure across the secondary of the transformer. If >20vac is present the board has the bug. Look for a fuse on it and visually inspect for a bad solder joint, if the board runs very warm solder joints can fatigue. If no voltage out of transformer you can buy a replacement using spec of 20volt secondary at 3 or 4 amps, since a 20 watt at 20 volt bulb consumes about 1 amp and there are 2 driven by the transformer.

I have a LG LRE30453SW Electric Range and the relay pcb keeps going bad. I get an F7 error when starting the oven. The first time I noticed the black line in, from the power terminal, to the relay pcb was...

First, check the 220v line and breakers are properly grounded and that you are getting a constant 220v at the plug. Then you will need to check the transformer on the unit.To test a transformer you need to know what type of transformer it is first. There is a step up transformer which steps the voltage up and a step down transformer which steps the voltage down.
You will still test the transformers the same way for step up and step down transformers. If it is a step up transformer apply the incoming power to the transformer or plug it up. Now take your multimeter and place it on the AC volt scale and test the voltage if the voltage on the data plate says the transformer should step up to 220 volts and it doesn't then your transformer is bad.
Now repeat the same steps for a step down transformer. Plug up the incoming or primary power and test voltage on the outcoming or secondary side the voltage should step down to the proper value. If you don't read any voltage on the secondary or outgoing side then the transformer is bad.
To read the voltage place the two meter leads on the secondary side, or the side you will plug your equipment into. If the secondary side is an outlet then place the two meter leads into the top two slots in the plug and read voltage. You also want to make sure the incoming power is working as well. Otherwise you will be reading a bad reading every time.
If all that looks good, then you will need to replace the control board. Here is a link to the parts for your range.

I would like to replace the unknown transformer inside (PCB mounted.) I don't know the rating req.

Usually the transformers have the specs written on the case ..and all you need is to order one wit the same values..but if there seam not to be any written specs on the case...look for the user manual of the device ..and in there is specified the voltage and amperage of the power source .. or ..just look for a replacement part by the device name ...
I would suggested to measure it with a voltmeter ..but if it is defective ..Im not sure if you get anywhere..
If the device runs on batteries too have the voltage needed by summing the batteries voltage ..(the values have to be the same ) //and the amperage will not matter that much ..if the difference is not high

I donnt think you can solve it the amps must be blown up and i dont think you would know

Most Amps that blow are down to failed Capacitors and ocassionally down to the Transformer or other components.

If you can have a look at the internal PCB and see if there are any Capacitors with bulges on the top or fluid leaking out of them then they've failed.

They're very cheap to replace but you'll need a soldering iron and the ability to desolder the old and resolder the new.
