My pictures are very blurry, what setting do i change?

That would depend on why the pictures are blurry. The possible settings would depend on the model of your camera. Not all cameras work the same way.

The lens could be dirty. If so, clean the front of the lens (and the back, if you're using a camera with interchangeable lenses) with a lens cleaner.

The subject could be moving. You can determine if this is the case by taking a picture of something that's not moving and comparing. The solution in this case is to use a faster shutter speed, or possibly using the flash if the subject is not too far away.

The camera could be moving. You can determine if this is the case by putting the camera on a tripod, tabletop, or other stable surface, and comparing. The solution in this case is to use a faster shutter speed, and/or stabilize the camera.

The picture could be out of focus. Try taking a picture of things at different distances. A long open road works great; get down low and get the painted stripe a few feet away all the way to mountains or trees in the far distance. Hopefully something between the foreground and the background will be sharp.

If your camera has interchangeable lenses and you have another lens available, try that lens.

There could be something wrong with the camera. If this is the case, you don't have much choice other than repair and replacement.

Sony Cyber-shot takes lots of blurry pictures in

first thing you can do is to try reverting cam back to factory settings.to do that initialize the camera.it's under menu>setup settings>main settings1>initialize. after initializing, set cam to auto adjustment mode (green camera icon in mode dial). what to avoid when taking pictures:
1.subject too close (use macro if needed)
2.insufficient light
3.subject movement
4.camera movement (that's caused by you)
5.incorrect camera setting
5.incorrect camera operation
btw, before you take a picture, press the shutter button halfway down first to give the cam ample time to focus.you'll see a flashing green indicator on the screen that means cam is focusing.when the indicator stops blinking cam is ready for the shot.press shutter button all the way.review your picture.if still blurry, you may try changing iso (for dark or fast moving subject, note:the greater value the noisier the picture gets), metering mode and focus settings by going to the shooting menu (press menu when your in P or program mode). hope this helps.tnx:)

FUZZY & BLURRY PICTURES.

It could be the focusing, did you check the focus every time? A slow shutter speed also causes blurry pictures. I know you do use your tripod, but if you don't use the self-timer function or a shutter cable then you are not using the tripod properly. Also, check the front piece of glass in the lens, clean it if it has stains or whatever on it.

My screen shows a blurry picture and it takes a blurry picture. it didnt used to. what is wrong? how do i fix it?

I have the exact same problem. When I was in NY last fall, suddenly my camera would only take blurry pictures. I hadn't changed any settings or anything. I can get halfway decent pictures in Auto mode, but any of the other settings only take blurry pictures. Apparently a lot of people have this problem, but no one knows how to solve it...

Check that you have not got Macro set accidently.
If lighting level are low and the camera is selectinging a slow speed - reset to Apeture Priority -setting 'A' and and be very gentle with the release - the slightest movement will blur an image on long exposure.
Try these thing and if still introuble come back with more detail
