My computer will not load windows, how do I remove a CD from my Gateway GZ7112

there should be a tiny hole under the drive door for ejecting the drive manually by pushing a small enough metal object in it such as a small screw driver. This will eject the cd. Thanks, Cody

I have an HP w2207h monitor. On some programs the image is too large for the monitor so that the image and text disappear off the right side of the screen. Could you recommend a solutiion please. Thank...

The HP w2207h monitor comes with an Installation Disk (CD)
It has the Drivers on it.
Have you used it yet?

If not pull the disk out, put it in your optical drive (CD/DVD drive), and load the contents.
After it has finished loading restart your computer, if not asked to do so.

When Windows has fulled loaded again, right-click on an empty area of your desktop screen.
Left-click on Properties at the bottom of the list.
Now click on the Settings tab.

Look down at Screen Resolution in the middle. Is the resolution what it should be?
The native resolution?

If not left-click on the slider, hold the left mouse button down, and move the slider left, or right, until the native resolution is what it's supposed to be.
[The slider is the down arrow looking icon on the line in-between Less and More]

Go down to the bottom right, and click on Apply.
Now down to the bottom left, and click on OK.

The native resolution for the HP w2207h is 1680 X 1050 (Pixels)
Should be set to 60 Hertz also. (60Hz)

do you have the graphics drivers installed properly. check from device manager. if they are installed, then go to graphic properties by right clicking on desktop and from properties, choose settings then try different resolution settings..probably higher. untill you get full screen. otherwise adjust from your graphic control panel..might give you wide screen options.

HP laptop display

Hi tredler,

Are you running a Windows OS?

If so, it is possible when your boyfriend used your laptop with a TV he may have changed the resolution settings. This may cause a compatibility issue when loading certain programs or games.

I suggest navigating to your Display properties through the Control Panel. Click on the advanced tab and change the resolution. This may be labeled as "Desktop Size." Try increasing the resolution (or adding "more" Desktop Size).

Thank you,
Jason,

Video Problems

Hello!

Maybe you need to install the correct driver of your video card. But first update your motherboard driver, if you have CD/DVD utilities enlclosed in your computer from the vendor then you should reinstall that in series installation. after that installation restart the system and then install the updated driver or the current CD/DVD utilities of your geforce 8600 GT and again restart the system after installation. and then set the monitor display to the required display of your games.

May this help, best regards, melnavz

go to this link first, 6 down will give you the latest drivers for your model; uninstall everything you have installed and start again; http://alpha02.c-wss.com/inc/ApplServlet?SV=WWUCA900 This link gives you all the various guides and manuals if you need them; http://alpha02.c-wss.com/inc/ApplServlet?RQF=MENU&RQS=WWUCA910&LA=1173934829986&SV=WWUCA900&menu=MA&TRF=MAIN Page 181 of the manual discusses problems with driver installation. Once you have updated the drivers, if the problem still occurs then check again in control panel - if you still can't change the resolution, then the problem is possibly with windows or the graphics chip/card is too basic - use the display troubleshooter in windows to see if there is anything you can do. Some older computers were limited in the resolutions they could display - if you can let me have the model number of the computer i can hopefully check for you. Hope this helps :)
