Re: My Dp1520p is not taking papers from drawer tray
Is the an error code on the lcd?
do you hear some noisy sound when you return/close the paper tray?
probably it is e2-01
meaning the lifting motor case is damage and your service provider must replace it.
i hope this might help you. ;)

First you have to put a little wheel (in front of the tray) in the correct size and format of the paper.
Than You have to see in the menu what is selected.
Tray paper sittings
(change to your needs)
surf to Kyocera's website, download the latest software for your operating system, once you have the software installed you should be able to set all the options you would like in the printers control panel. such as start.. printers and faxes..... right click printer go to properties for all tray assignments and settings. (this instruction is for windows)
bypass must be selected after you select print.
hope that helps.
For the majority of the Lexmark printers, all that needs to be done is to set the paper size and type the same for each drawer. Example - drawer 1 & 2 sizes are set to letter, drawer 1 & 2 paper types are set to plain. Set up this way, when drawer 1 empties, the printer will automatically switch to drawer 2 to supply the paper.
I am slightly unsure if your double drawer dishwasher is the prefinished model (self standing with LCD display) or the integrated model with no LCD display.
The spanner symbol on the top drawer is telling you that a fault code is actuated. But I am not sure where this symbol is on your unit if it is built -in (integrated model).
You will have to check which red light (from the left) is coming on.
I assume there are 5 lights on the inside of drawer.
With the bottom drawer - again you will have to check which light from the left comes on sometimes as you mentioned.
If you have a user manual you should be able to tell what Fault code it is - something like F1 or F2 etc. Is it continuously beeping when the red light is on? How do you turn the beeps off?
The scrubbing bush symbol on bottom drawer may not be a problem. It appears the drawer is programmed to a particular option. But I am not sure where this symbol is showing if you do not have an LCD display panel. You can reset the option - possibly auto lock or auto power or dish cleaned (depending on your model) if you follow the user manual.
happy to take you through a possible cause of the problem if you post answers to my questions above.
Is there a paper selection wheel or bar in the tray?
Some of the older Canon models have a dial (usually in the lower right hand corner of the tray) or a slider bar (usually on the left hand side of the tray) when you open it. That has to be set properly or the machine has no idea what size paper is there.
I had to set the copier up with a cover drawer through user tools.
Go to user tools
go to system settings
go to tray paper settings
scroll down until you see cover sheet setting
select drawer you wish to designate as cover drawer
This will stay in the system so that anytime you need to have a cover sheet it will pull the covers from this drawer.
Sorry, I forgot I posted this. I figured out how to get the rollers off and back on. The problem now is that I replaced the smaller rollers but it is still failing to pick up the paper. It worked well for about 3 days and is back to the same paper jam error, minus the groaning. Any ideas? These would be the intake rollers on trays 1 and 2.
then you have some buried deep inside..turn light off in office, close door, and use a flashlight or penlight..paper will glow from light..that will help a bit..then long tweezers to extract the fragments, eh?
this is the link to the manual if you need it
page 47 shows how to manually describe the paper type in each tray - after that, when printing click on properties and select paper type - it should automatically select the correct tray - if you want the same paper in more than one trays, it will always use the first one first, then start using the others.
Hope this helps :)
