How do i set up a wifi conection from my wii to my modem please

Nintendo's wireless connection will only support WEP security. So before connecting it wirelessly, check your wireless router/wireless access point and make sure that IF it has a wireless security configured on it, it's on WEP. So the wireless security should either be Disabled or at WEP. You can check these options on the router's Web UI. If you have a Linksys router, I could help you with it.

follow these steps:

1. Setup Screen > tap "Nintendo Wi-Fi Settings".
2. Select a "Connection slot".
3. Tap "Search for an Access Point. (This will open a list of wireless networks detected.)
4. Select your network (or any network you want to connect to) and connect to it. It will ask your for the network key or WEP key if you have it setup on the router.

I can not connect to the wirelless conection.

Hi santi_agu2,
You did not mention what type of console you have. Anyway, here are the intructions if you have a Nintendo Wii. Go to the Main menu by Pressing the A Button. Choose "Wii Settings" and go to "Wii System Settings" menu. Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to page two and select "Internet." Select "Connection 1: None" (if you don't see any connections just choose "Clear Settings.") Click on "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point." Select the wireless connection that is yours and then input the router password. Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes." The unit will then run a connection test. After the connection test, the Wii console will check if there is a new Wii System Update available. Just select "Yes" and "I Accept," the Wii will begin to download any available updates. You will now be connected to the internet. All the best to you. I hope everything works out.

How do conect the wii to the internet?

Are you trying to connect by using a wired connection or a wireless connection?
For wireless:
  1. Click the Wii at the bottom left side of your screen.
  2. Click Wii Settings
  3. Click the arrow on the right side of your screen.
  4. Choose Internet.
  5. Choose Connection Settings.
  6. Choose Connection 1 to create a new connection.
  7. Choose Wireless Connection.
  8. Choose Search for an Access Point
  9. Click OK then choose the correct access point (where you connect to the Internet)
  10. Click OK to save the settings.
  11. After the test, if asked to perform a Wii System Update, choose Yes.
For wired: You need to purchase a Wii LAN adapter. Then the step are the same as above except step 7 you pick wired connection instead of wireless.
Comment if you have any questions.

My ps3 tries to upade when i turn it on but fails

make sure the console is connected to an active internet connection, wired ifs fasted but wireless is fine, it will just be a little slower to download the update

if it asks you if you want to install the update say no, and check all conections, phisically and check using the network connection settings in the setting menu

try to manually activate the updater while in the main manu your self instead of an automatic update

Wii internet

WiiConnect24 allows the console to receive downloads even when the console isn't in active use, as long as it has a working connection to the internet. The types of information that can be received include News and Weather, messages posted to the Wii Message Board, and any messages sent by Nintendo about new Wii console features.
This disc slot of the Wii console will illuminate to indicate that you have received new information from WiiConnect24.
To Access the WiiConnect24 setting:
  1. Access the Wii System Settings (how to).
  2. Move the cursor over the blue arrow on the right and and select it once to reach System Settings 2.
  3. Choose "WiiConnect24."
The following options will be available:

Nintendo wii

If you havea WiFi router that you use for internet then you can do this very easily by adding your WiFi settings to Wii in settings. This will also allow you to get Wii software updates and use the Store where you can download games etc.

Your friend will also have to have a WiFi router in his home with internet access and he'll also have to add those settings to the Wii.
