My computer has crashed. I need to get my HP Pavilion zv6000 laptop back to the manufacturer's basic specs, before anything was uploaded from me. My computer has crashed. I have the reinstallation CD's but don't know where to go on my computer to erase everything and reinstall. Can you tell me the steps? I thank you, SO much! Signed: T. Love

I have an hp pavilion zv6000 and when i turn on the computer it says:''error loading the sistem'',so what can i do?

Reload the system with a disk,
You may have corrupted some files or your hard drive may have some errors, so installing it may work temporarily.
Look on the bottom of your laptop, look for a Windows COA
it will tell you your windows version e.g. Vista / 7
Maybe someone you know will have the correct disk to reinstall the system

When i play NFS MOST WANTED game, the display crashes. please help me to resolve it. computer specifications: HP 15.4" WINDOWS 7 HOME BASIC (64 BIT) 3GB RAM 300GB HD 1GB ATI premium Graphics...

you may want to check the temperature inside you computer. While playing the game better check if the temperature will not rise. See if all fans or blowers are working. You may need to install additional fan to keep mainboard cool and prevent it from overheating.
These are most common for those laptop with higher specs.
There are laptop stands available with cooler in the bottom. This is most advisable for users who will use their laptop for computer gamings and programs requiring graphics displays.

I have a hp pavilion zv6000 latop. I was told the parts inside of the pc are disconnected. what parts should I look for that might be disconnected????

How did these "parts" get disconected? Was someone in the computer?

It may be necessary to bring it to a shop and have them look at it.

Please be clear on what the machine is doing when its on. (error messages, etc.)

I would like to disasemble my laptops hinges but dont know how

What is the Model Series number?
There is a slight difference between the ZV6000, and ZX5000/ZV5000 series, for this procedure.

I want to give you the link to the Service Manual, (Free)
It won't describe, or illustrate the entire procedure of removing the Hinges, but will help for me to guide you.

The basic procedure is to remove all electrical sources first.
AC adapter (Charger), and Battery. Work on a table.
Follow Anti-Static Precautions before you begin.

Have a multi-compartment container, for the various screws you will remove, and label each compartment for where the screws came from.
(You can use a clean egg carton in a pinch)

Open the laptop, remove the Strip Cover,

(Below the LCD screen, and above the Keyboard. There are screws to remove from the bottom, so that the Strip Cover can be removed)

The Strip Cover will be popped up, and out, and there is a procedure for this.
(Start at one end, work your way along, basically)

The Keyboard is removed next. There is a procedure so you don't break the tiny keyboard connection cable.

There is a Thermal Cover to remove.

Next are the Wireless Antenna cables, and Display cable.
There may also be a Display Ground cable.

Screw covers for the hinges are removed from the back. The hinge screws are removed next.

The above is a General, Basic, set of procedures.
Advise do not follow it.
It's just to give you a basic idea of what is entailed.

If your problem Does Not relate to the HP Pavilion ZV6000, ZX5000, or ZV5000 series of laptops, state what laptop manufacturer, and model series it is.
(State in a Comment)

Hp pavilion zv6000 wont recognize dvd+r

Hi Terry,

The answer is pretty simple, the ZV series is about 4 years old, back then DVD manufacturers decided which formats they would support as it was too expensive to make desktop drives, let alone, laptop drives that supported all formats. That drive only works with DVD-R and I believe DVD-RW. If you want to burn other formats, the laptop will only support them if you add an external drive of a newer make.

Note: Virtually all current models support ALL DVD formats and many support BluRay as well.

Hope this helps,

Chris
