Another name for your USB stick is Flash drive and it is not difficult to use.
1.The first step is to remove the cover.

2.Locate the USB port on your computer.

3.Insert the connector of the USB drive into the port.

4.Your computer would then prompt you that a new device has been detected at which you can then open the file.

5.Now you can copy and paste the files you want on the drive.

6.After you are done using the USB file, select the icon that says safely remove hardware from the bottom right hand side menu(near the clock display). Then remove the memory stick.

1. Plug thumb drive or USB into the USB port on the laptop.
2. Go to My computer and see if you see "Removable Disk" if yes then you double click here and you will see the contents of the USB drive.
3. load something from the laptop or PC to the usb just drag document or program from PC drive to usb drive.
4.Go to site called "Ehow" to gain more information.
Note of caution donot just pull USB from the usb port it will erase all the information and the USB drive will then be rendered usless.
5. Remove USB in the proper manner that is goto the "task bar and look for the "safe to remove hardware" icon or go to the "my computer" icon select the "removable disk" icon ( right click) and the select "eject" if the drive is busy or a message comes up that it is then closed all programs associated to it and the "Eject" the drive and remove it from the USB port.
I hope this helps. Have a good day!

Go to the BIOS settings and then Boot (start up) order and make the USB device the first boot device and the hard disk the second boot device.
If the USB is not listed then your laptop cannot boot up from an USB memory stick.
To make a Hirens USB boot memory stick copy the Hirens files onto the USB memory stick. Then you can boot up Hirens with the USB memory stick.

Usb not detecting

What are you sticking in the usb port?

Verify that the usb port works by sticking something else in it such as a small usb flash drive.

Try a different usb port.

Maybe you are trying to stick an external drive that is too large for the system to recognize.

Maybe the device you are sticking in the usb port does not work.

Usb stick

tafe ??? what's that, if it's software based then it will be a locked usb stick so no other data can be added onto it, but if it's a normal usb data stick then, try and uninstall the usb drivers through your device manager, restart your computer then place the usb stick back in, then windows should re-install the drivers (win 7).

if you dont want try that then copy all your files to a folder on your HD somewhere and then format the usb stick, and see if ya can put the files back on, also some usb sticks have a little protection switch on the side of them, make sure this is set to open and not closed.

let me know how you get on.

all the best
