Frigidaire FEX831FS combo washer/dryer LOUD banging noise!!

I have a Frigidaire FEX831FS combo washer/dryer and after unloading my last load from the dryer i noticed 2 screws had worked themselves out of the back of the dryer. i recovered them in my laundry n tried to screw them back in. unfortunately they feel stripped or something cause i cant tighten them back in. We cant run our dryer anymore cause it creates a LOUD banging noise now, so i guess something is loose in the back of the dryer?? is there a fix for this?? or need a new dryer :( ?? thanks in advance

The vane/baffle screws can sometimes get loose or off. When this happens the vanes/baffles get loose and make a banging noise as the drum turns. Remove the top panel then screw them back into the vanes/baffles through the outside of the drum. If I'm referring to a different part, please indicate or describe the part you are trying to screw them back in. They may not came from that part.

    Hi Jahn27,

thanks for the quick response! i have a stacked combo washer/dryer. heres a pic of the model.
Ive also attached a pic of the part inside my dyer from where the screws came out of. if u look at the pic (not the same model but looks almost identical) the metal part has 3 screws in the middle, and 2 of those 3 screws have come out. is it still possible to access the dryer from the top or is that more for the standalone front loading dryers??

Those are shaft screws that attach the rear bearing, shaft, and ball assembly to the rear of the drum. Take the drum out and replace the said assembly which is reasonably priced at about $25. The drum can be taken out of the dryer cabinet when the top and front panels are removed like the dryer's stand alone counterparts.

Load noise and will not spin out clothes

Good Morning PJ, this is AP with Electrolux.

Thank you for submitting your question concerning your Frigidaire front load washer, ATF6000ES. Typically if your washer is making a banging noise it could mean one or two problems, but primarily the tub is off balance or your washer is not level. In this regard, since the tub is spinning it would be advisable to reach out to a local service provider to properly diagnose your washer. You can often locate a qualified tech through the manufacturer website.

I have a Frigidaire front load washer that is suddenly making loud banging noise during spin cycle, could it be a belt?

Check for broken/disconnected springs, disconnected/faulty shock absorbers (dampers). For this you have to disconnect the mains power and open up the machine. Spares can be obtained from this very site - Fixya.

Frigidare front load washer has loud banging on spin cycle. After much work we reallized one shock was broken of which we repaced both now it still making the loud banging shaking motion. Also the washer...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. Since the suspension is ok and it is level, check your drive motor and spin bearing. Usually, these are the trouble parts when loud noises are associated with the spinning cycle. Your drive motor controls the spinning. Since the noise is during spinning, that is probably where your problem lies.

Loud banging noise during final high speed spin

I have the HE3T which is 6 yo. Last week it started making a loud banging noise in the spin cycle. I had a repairman come out. He said it is the drum bearings. He said that it is a problem with these machines and to call Sears. He said that the drum and bearing is one assembly and that Sears should cover it.

I called today and Sears todl me that I have to pay for a Sears technician to come out a determine if it is indeed the problem. If so, it will be covered under the lifetime warranty on the drum. I have to pay for the service call $75.00 and if it is the problem, I will be reimbursed. Cross my fingers!
